Wow Jen, you've really have had to swim upstream the whole way. So sorry it's been so difficult. Hope all else in your life is smooth and drama free ... I'm pulling for you..

Just stopped in to check on you and others.

These last few weeks are dragging on and on. All I need to do now is get over my fear of letting go of the last of my original documents.

For those of you (especially bduong and jimmy 007ooc) who have or will have your significant other get their medical prior to interview, did you get your immunizations done before? I read on the NVC the immunization requirements and some (such as tetanus and chickenpox) require the immigrant to get 4 weeks prior to exam. Can anyone confirm or clear this up for me?

Husband is calling tomorrow to get his medicals scheduled. He wants me to ask when the embassy will get the file since he has to go and pick up the information.

So I am asking...... How many days does it sit at NVC before they DHL the package out to the embassy? My file is so old and dusty. It probably weighs an extra 5 lbs. :rofl:

In the first post of dswheels interview thread there is a link and instructions on how to track your file through the DHL website. I am one of the few that couldn't get it to work but it seems most people can. In my case, checking his visa status showed "in transit" after two days and "ready" on the third day after cc.

He has been to the first medical where, oddly, only got a hep shot and a tetanus and plans to go back for the second round of hep. It will be a day or two shy of 30 days so I hope it works out. He'll find out when he goes back to pick the medical results and the box I need to ship. So we are just waiting on July 8 & 9.

Happy all my favourite peeps are closing in on the final stretch.
