hey CC'ers, can you share what your CC email looked like?

i got an email today from NVC, not sure if it's the CC email. It looked like your typical checklist email but said:

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________
The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be
contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for further processing.

No its not the CC email usually they send this if you sent something or they added something to your file. Did you have case complete and you sent in more documents? No matter you are done and they are telling you now its added to your casefile and will await a interview and then forwarded

In my case, I could use DHL tracking the day after my status changed to "in transit". The day my status changed to "in transit" was the day NVC shipped my package. It arrived to the consulate 2 days after NVC shipped it. Oh, and DHL works on Saturdays :)

Did your status change to "in transit" already? I could help you with the tracking thingy if you want me to :)

Edit: Oh, and also, as soon as my package arrived to the consulate, my status changed to "ready"

Ahhh, thank you!! No, it hasn't changed yet. I don't expect it until at least next week some time.

The CBP is not checking your plane ticket and as a IR1/CR1 you are free to land and catch the next plane out its your purgative. So no worries.

You might have issues with the airlines itself if you don't use the return leg. Check the fine print, and definitely use a different carrier if you're a frequent flyer member.

Whatever works... Brew your own luck if you must.

Great News!!! And if it was a carrot, maybe it was to help the officer CLEARLY SEE that your case should be approved immediately :energy::yes::D

immigration can do nothing, but airlines can.

for example Lufthansas terms and conditions say that if you will not use the flight back they will charge you for one way flight.

i don't know what to do because i will be flying to Minneapolis and return tickets are cheaper than one way too.

my plan was to have my POE exactly in MN. i found flight WAW-AMS-MSP operated by KLM and United.

return ticket costs ~ 1000$, one way over 3000$ :/

i could use polish airlines and change in Chicago but the amount of people at O'Hare is ridiculous and going through immigration might take long, plus i need to check back in ...

If i may ask is your husband a USC or LPR? Coz some f us have their interview dates already from june's case complete. As far as i know if your petitioner is an LPR then have to wait if theres available visa coz the slot is limited unlike USC they are prioritized have unlimited slots. Correct me if im wrong guys... Im not an expert but that is what i know..

you are right sissy

Try the following for multiple dates/airlines until you hit a good fare: look for a one-way business class ticket. It might not be far from $3,000. You deserve the treat.

Let me know if it works.
