Dwheels, we just recently filed our 2013 tax, took it to the IRS office to be stamped since the transcript won't be available before the interview, is that okay?.

Sure that's very wise and good to get the stamp to show you actually file (you would be surprised people who will just fill in anything do taxes send in forms and hope for the best.

You are good to go.

Thank you! That makes total sense. I'm counting on an August interview at this stage, all I can think is we missed the cut-off by one business day - I told my husband a few months ago that's probably what would happen! I'll be shocked if I squeak by (I highly doubt it, though)!

But you could always get August and maybe a July date will open up so you could surely ask when that time comes. Hold on I am counting on August announcements starting maybe in a week the 26th .

If we get early August I'll be happy with that. My husband and I are travelling to Czech Republic in mid-August so he's going to need his passport! The Agent said London is still being scheduled this week but I'm sure I'm too far down the queue to get a date this week. I'm going to call Friday night just to see.

I saw a few responses from people who are interviewing through Casa, Morocco. I was hoping one of you would tell me how much time it took from NBC case complete until your interview. What was the wait time? I am trying to plan it so that I can be in Morocco when my husband goes for his interview.

Thank you.

Don't forget you can look at dwheels spreadsheet for this information as well:)

Guys does us embassy require original police reports for the interview.

I am from srilanka.

I will be thankful if u can help me,

Thank u

All that's turned in at NVC so a copy would do if you feel you want to take.

I would tell everyone make copies of everything take to embassy just in case Things do get misplaced. But original no. They have that.

I hope this does nto happen to you this time and you still get a July interview!!! Good luck!!!!!!!

If I miss the cut-off, I won't be too bummed about it as I already expected it to be this way.

In other news, there's flash flooding happening right now and every road leading home is closed due to water :/ Once the rain ends, wind gusts up to 40mph will arrive. My focus right now is not needing to file a homeowner's insurance claim!

Yes. you need original police report. one for NVC one for US embassy. If you can't get it you can show unexpired SL police report issued less than one year ago (found this on my interview letter). SL report has a 6 months valid period but don't depend on my word.

I'm not sure if this is something I should be worried about or not. My CEAC says "ready" and processing site says "San Jose". Yet when I call the embassy they say they don't have the case and it won't get there til next week. This slightly worries me because our interview is July 1.

I haven't called to see when NVC shipped out the case yet. I assumed that since it said "ready" that it was at the embassy. Silly me for trusting the government website.

It went Ready when you got interview date. It just means ready for interview.

I surely wouldn't worry about when it gets there. Unless you were trying for a earlier date which would be highly unlikely since there isn't really enough time.

remember they are like NVC or USCIS you are probably there in mail room and just not scanned in system. Every embassy has their own system.

Well, after reading your post... I had to call myself. She said they don't receive the files for the next month until the last week of the month... ( I don't believe them one bit) she says it takes a long time to be mailed from the US.. ( I'm thinking maybe back in 1940..LOL) anyway, she took my husband's name & number and she said she would call him when it got there... She said we already received instructions from the Visa Center and he should go get the police certificate now. also said not to worry... we won't lose the appointment date...

I was told my file went out on the 13th. ( Friday the 13th of all days..... right?) I can't find anything going to Costa Rica for that date.... HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
