Those fields were blank on both notices, first and second. I believe they track them by alien number and receipt number, so there wouldn't be SSN or account number associated with it.

What I thought was weird with my second notice is the fact that it had two receipt numbers - from NOA1 and the one from the first bio letter.

About the two receipt numbers, I thought it was weird too. When I called, I didn't know which one to give them.

Is anybody else having trouble with the new USCIS site regarding checking their case status? When I sign in, it takes me to "My Cases", when I click on the receipt number, it just takes me to a page with links to change my address or submit a case inquiry. At the top of the page it says "my" in italics, and that's it. I've tried signing in in various internet browsers, the good news is, the last time my case was touched was early October when I changed my address, so I guess I haven't missed anything??

Thank you in advance for any assistance....

So i received a new appointment letter for bio metrics, on the website date of receipt changed to November, 6 from June, 17 and their automated service says " Please allow 180 days since the day of TRANSFER" (sucks).

Talked to tier 2 officer - she says we go with saying it is necessary to attend the appointment because it is already scheduled. When I asked about processing time she said that they give 1 year extension because it takes up to a year,not 6 months.

There was nothing else to discuss at that point.

Hey guys,

I haven't been updating you because there was a lot of waiting involved and I didn't want to cause any freakouts. But here's the deal.

After I applied in June, waited for nearly a month to get a NOA1, which freaked me out and I almost sent out a second package. Then with my letter extending my green card for a year during the process of getting a new card I went on vacation overseas. Of course my biometrics letter arrived when I was gone and the date was before I was going to be back. So I pushed the date and did my bios in early August. On August 25 I received a RFE, although I had attached all the vital paperwork we had. We also moved addresses within the city and my case number didn't work on the website, so I had to do a bunch of calls and talk to a tier 2 customer assistant to get my address changed. I asked them what they thought was missing on my application and they said every little bit helps. We hadn't attached any affidavits or pictures or flight tickets, just joint bank accounts, rental agreements, tax transcripts, loans, cars, life insurances, that kind of thing. So we started collecting affidavits and printed out some pics. We were advised to send again all the paperwork we had sent in the first time around, so they have everything in one place. We had unfortunately sent out the original IRS tax transcripts so we had to apply for new ones. The deadline for the RFE was Nov 14 and the IRS only managed to send us our new tax transcripts on Nov 9. Needless to say we overnighted the package right before veterans' day... Two days ago, on Nov 19, we received email and text updates that they've ordered our green card to be made and it should arrive within a month. No interview, so that's cool, because we have to drive a few hours to get to where we go for interviews and biometrics. So I guess that's the end for me.. I'll update you when I get the card. If anyone has any questions as to what exactly we sent in or if you're in a similar situation, let me know. Also, I looked for an updated list, but couldn't find it in the few pages back, so if anyone could update me, that would be great. In the meantime, I believe I've become eligible to get naturalized and now I'm considering going on that journey...

Apr. 24 - online status changed to Request for Initial Evidence (pesky tax transcripts)
Apr. 28 - RFE notice arrived in the mail
Apr. 30 - Responded to RFE
May 3 - Online status changed to "Request for Evidence Response Review"
May 9 - Successful early walk-in biometrics in Milwaukee
June 5 - Online status changed to "Testing and Interview" - Interview date: July 11. Online interview location: NBC
June 6 - EAD/AP card in production; NOA 2 in the mail. Interview location: local office
June 12 - EAD/AP picked up by USPS
June 14 - EAD/AP in the mail
June 15 - applied for a SSN
June 22 - got SSN
July 11 - Interview - approved on the spot!
August 8 - online status changes to approval. GC should arrive in "up to 60 days". Yah, we're out of plastic in Wisco.

2014

June 25 - NOA1

Sometime mid July - the letter for biometrics came in, while I was abroad; I pushed the date back to August

Sometime in August - biometrics on the right day, didn't go for early

August 25 - RFE, deadline Nov 14

Actually, I think I'm wrong. I don't think I get to apply for citizenship until the 3rd anniversary of receiving my first green card, which is in August. So I have some time to save money and think about it.
