Yes, it is! I think there should be a way to balance things between VSC and CSC. Either by some case transfer from VSC to CSC or otherwise.

When or how do I get a tracking number for the GC? What carrier is it? UPS? I know I have read posts about it but I can't find any right now. Thank you everyone for the wonderful support and information on this site. Now on to English classes and citizenship.

I was out of town last week, and came back to find my 10-year GC in the mail!

Unfortunately you don't get a tracking number, it's shipped via USPS, but you do receive it within about a week.

The Green Card comes via USPS.

Keep checking the your USCIS status in the next couple of days; it will eventually provide you with a USPS tracking number.

Got an email with the "tracking number" for the green card, but the tracking number they gave me was only 3 letters. Guess that answers that question. Oh well

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone that there are no RFE's and it's a quick and painless ROC! Good luck!

Update: Just check my husbands case status online... it say's they mailed out the green card today.

Scratch what I said earlier, there is a tracking number included on the USCIS case status update. It seems you need to log into the website to see it.

Really? I don't know if how this works. From previous experience I believe you have to call USCIS before you can get a tracking number.

Yeah, you can either log in or check it here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

Mine at least shows the tracking number. If I recall correctly when I did AOS I saw the tracking number on the email too (as well as the website). This time it's website only though.

This was the update when I checked My Case Status:

On August 5, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

No tracking number, but I'm not worried about it at all. I'm sure the GC will be here any day now.
