Yes, that was the case. I was confused when they told me I didn't have to fill out DS 261. I had let go my lawyer go after he made mistakes in my i-130 but they still had him on record. They just removed him on phone on my request. I have tried to be very quick and I don't want to get checklist and I am still worried about checklist since I got it at I-130 due to lawyer mistake. I want my wife here soon!

You should start calling NVC about whether they have reviewed and accepted your AOS and also the IV package. And also if your case is complete. I would guess a case complete by Monday of next week. Sending our best wishes.

No problem! :)

Just tell them at the interview you have some updates to tell them. They'll fix the forms right there for you.

Thank you!!!

I just received the call back from the supervisor confirming my case is complete and in line for an interview. I asked a ton of questions about how they assign interviews. She didn't know much but did say its all done electronically. The embassies provide time slots and the types of visas they will interview for . The queue takes them in order. I had a very long conversation about the nasty operators . She told me to send an email and report them because it should not be like that. So here is the email address. We should all report the nasty ones. LOOK OUT JOY and ARTHUR. I suppose we could also send emails of praise too !!

NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. Attn : P I Dept. ( in the subject line)

also, she told me again, they are finished with the first round of July interviews. She is not sure if there will be a second round. Sometimes there isn't. I told her that I have heard from others that they are still scheduling for July... her reply was that it is a brand new notification and they probably didn't get it yet. I asked about Costa Rica, she said I am one of very few for Costa Rica so I MIGHT get a July interview but it depends on what Costa Rica provided. She was very nice . She would not say yes or no whether I will be scheduled soon. She explained that they just don't have that information available.

Thank God everything is fine!

So what date are they on right now? Anyone know?

Your CC is just around the corner!

Oh my God!! About to have an anxiety attack. I signed & submitted DS-261 yesterday. I had to go back in to fix an error and then while holding my mouse I clicked on yes to that question if you're in the US ETC. a message then popped up stating that my case will be forwarded to USCIS AND TO PRESS OK. Instead I panicked and signed back out without clicking ok. I signed back in and the form said incomplete. I went back in to see if I could proceed and I did, so I fixed what I had to and signed and resubmitted the form. I called NVC to make sure but the operator said not to worry and he checked to see if it was submitted. It was. He said you can always change your choice of agent and if there are any errors, NVC WILL NOTIFY ME. it takes 30 days. What do you guys think, since the form was submitted, does it mean not to worry ?!!!

I swear by the end of this I'm going to be a cat lady. I honestly think the only thing that has kept me partially sane is my cat and that is probably the most depressing thing I've said in a long time.

Thank you so much for that. That gave me a little bit of hope. I'm just sad that we are at their mercy and we can't do anything about it.

I agree it kills me that they have our lives in their hands and we sit here like two year old waiting for mommy and daddy to approve!

Well, you're not alone. There have been days when I held back sobs all through work, ordered myself not to cry during my commute, then got home, held my cat for a cuddle, and immediately burst into tears. There's no shame in being glad to have a companion. This is a long, lonely, difficult process. Anything that provides comfort is good.

Oh my goodness, I could not have made it through this ordeal without my kitty cats!

This last stretch has been the worst! Last week I was a big ole slobbery mess at work. Just thinking about my husband giving me a hug and how badly I could use one right now puts me in tears every time.

Then I look over at my cats and they're spooning each other or grooming each other and I squeal (which startles them and I get the ever-so-frequent look of disdain). They've kept me on Earth!

Same here waiting on VI invoice for weeks, made the mistake to resend the DS 261 with a change (did any one help you filing this form, Husband translated) a week after. I was just making sure I did not missed anything then it showed not completed... So I re-did it. I guess that will send me back another week.

Same here...First DS 261 completed 9 May and second 31 May!! My AOS package received 19 May. Still can't pay IV invoice although I sent my civil documents in and they were delivered today (but not scanned by NVC yet). When I called NVC last week, alena said my new DS-261 date was 31 May but said that did not affect the IV invoicing...after a year of working on this I am so tired and know I still have months to go...I just don't know what to believe anymore. :crying::clock::(

Several VJ members have stated that they will count the date of your first submission.

But how did you send your civil documents in without paying the IV invoice. You are required to attach the cover sheet after payment of IV fees to the civil documents package.

You may want to call the NVC to see what they will do now!!

Who's a May 9th or 12th person? Any updates yet? I'm dyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyying here!

I got a false check list the day after my AOS was approved, so I would assume it takes about day whether it's real or false.
