You didn't use the "wrong" form, just a longer form when you didn't need to. As long as it was completed accurately, you'll be all right :-)

Just because you're ELIGIBLE to fill out the I-864EZ doesn't mean you're REQUIRED to. There's a big difference.

We are on the same boat!! I resubmitted the DS 261 without any changes original submitting was 14th May and resubmitted on 22nd May that because of new site... I have been waiting for 2 weeks for IV invoice.. what should i do? Can i call to NVC or need to wait few more days??

Please strong advice required...

Same here waiting on VI invoice for weeks, made the mistake to resend the DS 261 with a change (did any one help you filing this form, Husband translated) a week after. I was just making sure I did not missed anything then it showed not completed... So I re-did it. I guess that will send me back another week.

I would call and ask what date they "received" your DS-261. There's not too much you can do with the info other than use it to help gauge when you might expect to get the IV invoice.

For example, mine was submitted May 19th, then again on May 21st but was received on May 22nd (a call to the NVC confirmed this).

Although I check my email and the CEAC site frequently, I know they are only working on May 9th at the moment, so I'm watching the forums, checking peoples timelines, waiting for the NVC to catch up to May 21st/22nd

Not positive on this answer, but if there are any changes before the interview, I think you take the updated forms to the interview to give to the CO. Just like how a few people around here found a new job, etc before the interviews, they took an updated form to the interview with them. I don't see why it would cause any issues.

But don't take my word for it until someone else can confirm!

Thank you very much jsumner86, i'll have that in consideration.

Hi VJ members

I just want to let you know our cases (IR5 parents of US citizen) have been completed today.

Please read our experience in my signature that may be helpful for you.

I want to thank VJs members specially Saylin, Jag and Ripu, Canadianplum and Xprecious32 for your help, support and encouragement.

kind regards

Lukiduki

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

Lakehouse can you see my signature, I just want to make sure. Thank you in advance. :) (F)(L)(F)

Yes, I can! :luv:

CASE COMPLETE !!!!!!!!!!

But waiting for 2nd case complete for my mom and CEAC web site change your AOS fee paid to N/A means your case complete

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Now that my file is "In Transit", the AoS fee changed from "N/A" to "PAID" adn the current processing site changed to "Casablanca"

Mine also says PAID for the AOS fee. Guess this happens once transit to the Embassy occurs. Processing site says Montreal :)

2nd Case complete...........

They review today MAY 9th

CONGRATS AGAIN!!

OK, folks. It's official!!!

CASE COMPLETE AS OF JUNE 4!!!

:dancing: :joy: :dancing:

AND, I must have good luck - I never had to speak to either Joy or AH-thur!!!!

Jim was the bearer of good news. He didn't even ask me "What can I help you with this evening?". He cut right to the chase and told me the case was complete!

Then, when I gently pushed, he read me the standard line about interview scheduling and it depended on how busy the consulate was, blah, blah, blah. But he told me he loved being able to tell people good news!!!!

Now....waiting on interview scheduling....

For those of you waiting - it does appear that an "N/A" under "Affidavit of Support Fees" is a positive indicator of case complete. My package explaining that the checklist item they wanted was 1) not required and 2) not available was scanned in on May 9th.

Sukie

YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so happy for you two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::energy::energy::energy::energy::energy:
