I called NVC and confirmed case shipped out today via DHL.

Nikki could not give me a tracking number and said she can't give up that information, not because she was mean but because the files don't go alone.

I'll keep tracking it until it says ready and then I'll beg the people at the consulat for an earlier date!!!!!!!!!!!

So I realize it is too early, but I kind of want to call this evening to find out if I have an interview scheduled yet. Tickets keep getting more expensive and there are so many decisions that need to be made.

Hey guys, can anyone shed some light on this...

Question, if you get a 2nd checklist for the AOS, do they then case complete and require you to bring the completed form to the interview? - have been going through hell with my incompetent attorney... and the NVC give me different answers whenever I call....

I hear of people getting 3rd checklists, just to point out, my IV and DS260 have been accepted...

I've never heard of any hard and fast rule to that effect. Depending on what the checklist is for, you could receive case complete with instructions to bring documentation to the interview. In other cases, if a checklist has been pending for 2 months (I've seen that number mentioned by dwheels) you can request that your case be completed and anything still pending be brought to the consulate. But is the default to give case complete if a second checklist occurs? I would say no. It's NVC's discretion.

In regards to AOS;

I was a few grand over the poverty line but I filed w/ a joint sponsor anyway...

Will they even look at joint sponsor files if I am already over poverty line?

Thanks BOS_LHR, this is my issue there is no "hard and fast rule".... so this is my issue... my stupid lawyer filed in the AOS incorrectly (seems she didn't read the instructions) and i got a checklist... ok s*&t happens.... now, when she replied to the checklist she sent the WRONG AOS form!!...

However she did courier the correct one the next day (it arrived, tracked, one day later) do you think the fact she sent and incorrect one first means they will not look at the correct one? Surely if they see 2 pieces of mail on file for me (1 day apart) they will look at it right?

This is the first I've heard about rounds of scheduling, but this is also the first month I've paid attention to that piece LOL Maybe there's still hope for July?

It's been happening for just the past couple of months I think. Anywhere that has completed a "first round" already, I'd say keep an eye out in the next 7-10 days for a "second round" to begin. I have no idea why things are done this way. Maybe it's to account for new openings from people who reschedule their dates?

They'll definitely look at both, in the order received. They'll receive the first checklist reply, probably checklist it again, but then they'll have the corrected forms in the pipeline to be reviewed right after. Hopefully since she sent the correct paperwork out right after it will only have cost you the day or so in between them reviewing the two pieces of mail.

Very true! But when these guys get comfortable not doing too much all day, it's really hard for them to step up their game. They don't care about us.

Maybe we should all write a letter to the Director of the NVC. Do you guys think that will help?

I hope your right mate... the checklist was for the same mistake on both my wife's AOS and mother-in-laws AOS, the first package includes the correct AOS for my wife but incorrect for my MOL and the second was just the right form for my MOL... so i am hoping that they take the corrected one from the first document and the 2nd one from my MOL and all is ok.....

My lawyer sucks!
