this will give everyone an idea of how busy their particular embassy is. For Costa Rica... 543 for 2013. That is almost nothing compared to others. divide it by 52 weeks. 10.44 per week. Obviously they might do more in one week than they do in another but this gives me huge hope for my July interview

Well...you're not counting people that have to go to that embassy for other non-immigrant visas.

no, but remember the embassies provide the openings to the NVC. The embassy makes the appts for the Non-immigrant visas. I would think that they hold the appts open ( the ones they provide to the NVC) just a theory though

Very funny Soloenta. If that was the case, my case would be COMPLETE . But it's not.

They still haven't gotten to May 12th of mail... Ann told us last night they still haven't been reviewed...

There is an option for people to private message each other if they would like to get to know a specific individual and I think a lot of people forget about that feature.

I think many do use the feature, but I actually find the "I'm calling now, this is what I was told" conversations particularly useful. Not many people get an agent who is willing to provide generic information, such as documents from x date are being reviewed at the moment, or that there has been an influx of cases received from USCIS to give a couple of examples. I sometimes want to call NVC, but after checking this forum and reading recent updates I choose not to at the moment.

Maybe they provide appts to the NVC according to this report. I would think they would provide enough appts for the incoming files. ( or does that sound like a dumb assumption?) somebody has to do some kind of forecasting, right??? Oh God here I am expecting something normal from the government... GOOD LORD...

Just got off the phone with the NVC....44 minute wait when you call at 7 am. She was not happy this morning, but anyways....3 weeks and still no case number.

To be honest, I've resisted the temptation to predict how long London interviews take on average from CC until I hear those magic words. THEN, I'll obsess over that. I can only obsess about one stage at a time or I'll go truly insane

I wrote "See Attached" for one of the years and attached a letter stating why I didnt file taxes and that income was below threshold that year and didn't get a checklist. So you don't need to "fill out the numbers on the form"

btw so how often is it taking to receive interview email after it is assigned? frankly I'd prefer to never call nvc again if its less than a few days.

Depends on the Embassy you or yours will be having the interview at. They are heaven and God resides inside it. So they think.

My husband is in the Philippines and I'd like him to get the medical done with, cuz' he has additional procedure to go through due to some medical problems. From Saylin's info, he can get a medical as soon as I receive the first correspondence. What would be the first correspondence be? And do I have him schedule the medical and go? Thank you!}

Hi, nvc will send u an email once they assign you a case number. You can use that letter for medical that is what I did for my spouse's advance medical at st. Lukes. To be on the safe side I emailed st lukes with the question about taking medical without interview letter and they replied with a yes. I ask my husband to bring a copy of the email along with him at the medical just in case. I believe you don't need to schedule an appointment but register online st lukes website prior to visit to save time.

Hi Tino.. If I remember correctly, you mentioned in a previous post of yours that you are filing for your wife and child? If that is the case then unfortunately you cannot use the I-864EZ.

One of the conditions to be able to file the I-864EZ is that you are only sponsoring one person.

As for the 1040 line 22 is correct you need the Total Income figure.

Since in 2013 you are making more than the poverty line for 4 people and your 2013 IRS transcript reflects that then you don't need a sponsor. You also do not need to include transcripts for 2012 and 2011, it is your choice. So you either send just 2013 IRS transcript or 2013, 2012 and 2011. The choice is yours.

However on the I-864 form, Part 6, Section 13 it does ask you to confirm (by checking the box) that you have filed Federal tax returns for each of the three most recent years. (This is regardless if you will be sending the tax information for the 3 most recent years or not)

Since you hadn't filed in 2011, you will have include a letter of explanation as to why you were exempted from filing that year.

I have filled for my wife and daughter but they are two separate cases of I 130's. One for my wife and one for my daughter (she will be 20 July ) My daughters expedite was approved . Wife's denied but made a request again and got approved just waiting for the decision from USCIS. Hopefully they will answer by the 9th . It is our wedding anniversary 22 years

So i think meet the criteria for I864 EZ for both seperate cases right ?

My husband called to NVC today to follow up our case . but the woman said in the line they didn't receive our packet yet from the USCIS . its been 3 weeks now. since we got approved last may 13,2014. and even its auto expedite . and he called in the USCIS.

( 1st husband email to me ) .

I am on hold with USCIS. I told them that we were auto-expedited & asked why it is taking so long. I told them the NVC doesn't have our paperwork. They told me it could take up to 90 days. I asked her what is the whole point of getting the case auto-expedited if it is going to take 90 days.
She checked the computer & saw that our case was auto-expedited. Then she said it shouldn't take this long for the NVC to receive our paperwork, because we were expedited. She put me told me she is transferring me to a supervisor & put me on hold.

( And this the 2nd emailed me when my Husband talked the USCIS. )

The paperwork is at USCIS. The supervisory sent a message to the office that approved our paperwork & asked why it has not been forwarded to NVC & asked them to forward it to NVC A.S.A.P.

He told me that the office will contact me when they send the papers to the NVC. He said no later than June 19.

I don't know what you want me to do. There is no reason for you to get mad at me. It's not my fault. It's not your fault, either. It is out of our hands & we are solely dependent on these idiots doing their jobs correctly.

I'm really pissed after I knew this . I thought I can get my case number soon .

OH WOW, Mine is 226 per week. *@#^(@# Anywhooo, if I would like to speak to a supervisor at NVC who would have some advice on doing it? I want to ask about my interview date, it has been over a month, and based on what I see on spreadsheets, it doesn't take that long usualllyy.
