I'm on my mobile so I can't quote anything (booooo cheap phone).

Anyhoo, I believe NVC is like USCIS where it is fee-funded. That's how these agencies can remain open during government shut-downs.

There are a lot of side conversations, but that's how we get to know each other, help each other out & stay sane. It happened in the I-130 thread, but nowhere near the extent of this one lol I don't mind it, really.

Congrats to the recent CCs! Does anyone know what day they're working on? :-P

And Saylin, I'll take "my case is being terminated" for the daily double!

And Saylin, I'll take "my case is being terminated" for the daily double!

This is the meaning of the "case is being terminated" error message.

If you aren't subscribed to receive email alerts for this thread, I would suggest that enabling that feature might help you. When I'm behind on the thread it's MUCH faster to skim through an email with dozens of posts listed than to manually page through the forum. It's a big help for very quickly picking out whichever posts might be of interest.

Out of curiosity, which posts are most useful to you? You lumped people posting the results of their calls in with the less useful stuff, so what specifically are you looking for? You might find the spreadsheet more useful too, it's hard data without all the jibba jabba ;) It's great to use it to identify a few people ahead of you to keep an eye on, and then you'd spend less time weeding through stuff here.

well, what is it that you want to know? Ask a question and it will be answered.

The thread was dead today and we are all passing the time.

This thread is what got me through... I'm sure others feel the same. I love the 'off topic" conversations

There are a lot of side conversations, but that's how we get to know each other, help each other out & stay sane. It happened in the I-130 thread, but nowhere near the extent of this one lol I don't mind it, really.

Thank you for your responses. There is not one particular piece of information that I am looking for. If something comes up, and I can't find it in the Wiki or on google, I will of course ask that specific question.

I am already subscribed to receive email alerts. That is a good idea about just reading the emails instead of actually coming to the VJ page to read everything. It would probably save a lot of time. I do keep my eye on the spreadsheet because that is definitely a helpful utility.

I understand that it helps for people to get to know each other, but this is a forum to come to for people to gather information and to ask questions about the process. There is an option for people to private message each other if they would like to get to know a specific individual and I think a lot of people forget about that feature.

I know that other people feel the same way as I do but just might not want to say it for fear of coming across as an #######. I'm really not an #######! I promise! I'm just calling it like it is. :)

Okay, finally found it. For 2013: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2013AnnualReport/FY13AnnualReport-TableIII.pdf

If you want to look at previous years, go here (http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/statistics.html) and click on the third one that says Immigrant Visas Issued.

I'mbackkkkkkkkkkkk

Question, if you get a 2nd checklist for the AOS, do they then case complete and require you to bring the completed form to the interview? - have been going through hell with my incompetent attorney... and the NVC give me different answers whenever I call....
