NVC Filers - June 2014

Tell me about it, we are on the same boat...Applied I130 last October last year, USCIS was backlogged, then after few months i got transferred to TSC, then NBC sped up, TSC slowed down...Now NVC are backlogged...so lame!

this happened right after 5/10, cause when i checked spreadsheet, most of cases # assigned before 5/10, all got IV invoices right after AOS invoice...Mine was 5/13....

Please don't complain about waiting at the TSC . I can't take it ! I applied April 2013, ,transferred to TSC November 27, 2013 and not approved until March 18, 2014... It is difficult to read complaints like this. so please.......

I just got my false check list e-mail. Nice to know my husband is only a conditional spouse :/

NVC says my original marriage certificate wasn't an original. i sent a certified copy along with a letter explaining that the NVC already has the original

Any UPDATE at all!?!?!

Nope. My AOS fee has not changed to N/A so I did not call last night. I'm a May 9th date - so perhaps it will change at end of day on Tuesday for North America. It's mid-morning Wednesday in Australia.

I will keep watching for the "N/A" in my AOS fees. If nothing happens in 48 hours, I'll call them.

You know, I think you should call back tonight - yes that's draining, but there should be an answer for you by then!

When I called, I just asked for an update on my AOS and I asked if I was getting a check list. The Agent told me I was but it wasn't for the Affidavit of Support it was for the 'civil documents' (ie: expect a false check list as the IV docs have been there since the 16th)!

I think it depends on how it's worded with these Agents. Or I'm just paranoid. With a side of neurotic.

I'll probably call tomorrow night since the agent said "it hasnt been reviewed yet". No point in calling back today IMO. This will give me time to see more May 8th approval and feel a little more confident about calling. Don't want to waste an hour on hold

Hi everyone. Allow me to introduce myself I am a US citizen in Australia applying for my husband. I have been following this Forum religiously and my husband thinks I am crazy and should relax. It makes me feel better to know there are others like me though! From what I have read, I have a couple more weeks of waiting (or more if I get a checklist). Congrats to everyone who are moving along! I feel like I know you. ha ha. I am not sure how to add a signature, but my timeline is below:

March 18^th – File received by NVC

April 28^th – AOS invoice received

April 28^th – DS-261 available and submitted

April 29^th – AOS invoice paid (by parents)

May 1^st – IV invoice received

May 2^nd – IV invoice paid (by parents)

May 2^nd - AOS shown as PAID

May 2^nd - AOS package posted to NVC (Express International)

May 4^th – Posted police check to Victoria Police

May 6^th – IV shown as PAID

May 6^th – Submitted DS-260

May 9^th – AOS package received at NVC (30 days = June 8^th)

May 14^th – Received police check

May 15^th – Posted civil documents (Express Courier)

May 22^nd – Civil documents received at NVC (30 days = June 21^st)

I'm still waiting for the DS-261 form to be available. It's been 11 days since I got my case number.

Woohoo my AOS fee was invoiced and paid last night!!! Finally, it seemed like it took a long time, well to me anyway. Now I'll just wait for it to appear as paid and send in the AOS package hoping I make NO mistakes.... Then more waiting, course I'm getting pretty good at that, it will be a year since my NOA 1 the day after tomorrow!!!

Hey guys - I can't decide whether I should fly back to Vietnam for her interview or fly back to the US with her. I can take 3 weeks off from work, so depending on how long it takes from visa interview to visa delivered, I may be able to do both. What is everyone doing or would recommend?

Soloenta, have you paid the AOS invoice and/or sent in the AOS package? I'm just wondering because our NOA2 are the same date and you received your case number only 2 days before me so I'm trying to follow your timeline to see what to expect these next few days
