Hey guys - after on hold for 45 mins I was told my case is completed!!! We are now waiting for an interview date, none in June. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to schedule interview date and what my next steps are?

I called NVC today. Received Case # and IIN, but when do I get the actual invoice to make the payment and move forward? Please help.

If you gave them your email address, then it will be emailed to you. I received the invoice for the first fee within 2 days. But they are taking longer now. Also, when you sign in to pay it, it may say something about "your case being in the process of termination." Don't freak out. It's just not in the system yet.

You're right, Americans don't know how to pronounce anything . They need to speak ENGLISH . How are you going to celebrate the 4th of July? . Sadly, we will still be in the UK this 4th of July.. But I'm sure that won't stop my wife from celebrating..

Aw, no Boston accent..That's no good. My wife has a southern accent, not too noticeable here since she's away from the family, but when she gets angry, that's another story.. Sometimes I do it on purpose just to get her going..

whoever are waiting for the IV fee invoice, this is the detail I got from NVC.

I called last night, they said now the IV fee invoice will take 30 days after you paid your AOS fee which is pretty lame..

and they will review AOS doc within 30 days from the day you sent it.

I did EP, emailed AOS on 5/20...when I called last night, they said no AOS in system which is normal... （I don't know if that is normal）....

You're supposed to get the email within a few hours of scheduling occurring. I suggest following the July interview thread to see when people are posting updates, it'll help you gauge what's going on. I didn't have to call to get my date, I had a tip off from another UK member that they received an email and mine followed within the hour. It's prime time for scheduling, so maybe call on Friday to see what's going on if you don't hear anything by then -- just make sure your consulate is still scheduling for July, etc.

Btw I was curious, do you have to schedule the medical appointment in Lisbon or it has to be in Paris too? I was annoyed to have to travel for the medical and the interview as I live south, but gosh you guys must be so annoyed that they don't schedule interviews in Portugal anymore :-( Hope you will get your interview soon!

I believe they are scheduling for July still. I was also thinking of waiting for Friday as well. If I haven't heard anything by then, another call to the NVC will have to happen. Oh Joy! (no pun intended haha)

I haven't been to Boston yet.. I need to. My wife can do a Boston accent.. "I can't find my khakis"= "I can't find my car keys" Just mocking you . I think you will have a nice Christmas. Coffee, Tea, Hot chocolate, sunset at 3PM.. Boxing day.. Oh yeah, wait until boxing day.. Christmas day ALL OVER again, minus the presents . We decided that Christmas crackers will definitely stay a tradition, especially when we have kids. . Don't eat Christmas pudding though... I don't know how people enjoy it.

My email came Monday morning, and I had received word of my interview date by phone Friday night, so one working day for me.

I know that only one place in the whole country does it, Lisbon, but I can't seem to find the info on the Doctor and location on the NVC site.

It's highly annoying that we have to pay to fly to Paris in the middle of Summer (hello $$$$$$) for the interview instead of just driving there. I mean we could drive from Portugal, but I can't do that long in a car. Ill be miserable. But, we just have to suck it up and pay the price. We were just in Paris in December too with family.

Just called NVC and questioned about the EP!

Their EP program had been changed since May 20, 2014(NVC hasn't update the new instruction to the change), you do not need to send the enrollment mail to NVC for the case number begin with MTL or GUZ. Sending the AOS/IV packet to NVC will automatic enroll in the EP program!

For the people that are waiting for the EP confirmation(specially for the GUZ cases), they do not send out confirmation mail anymore, and no more GZO case number assign! Send the docs to them right away once the fee is paid!

I should make the call in May, so not to wasted 2 weeks for the EP confirmation. >_<!

Oh my this sucks! I would have thought it would be in Madrid at least, it's still closer than Paris! But after this hopefully you will be done with NVC nonsense (at least for a while)! Hope you'll find the info about the doctor soon, maybe you should pm a former portuguese VJ who had his interview recently!

I haven't seen any interview scheduled for july in paris yet, perhaps you can have an early july interview!! Can't wait for my case to be complete and to know when the interview is scheduled :'-(
