No, calling won't improve the backlog or make things go faster. The backlog is what it is. I was suggesting that if the OP has waited more than two weeks since receiving his case number and hasn't gotten an AOS email yet, that's longer than the timeframe quoted to me on June 4th. I would call in that case to make sure nothing is wrong.

I see, I had heard AOS was taking as long as IV they all are. But hey it's not like this OP has been waiting for ever they got through in less than a month from the I-130 to NVC so really it's not a lot to wait for AOS. Wish it had been me I'd be dancing hahahaaa oh well not lucky I guess. Boy I envy them so much, I often wonder how this happens. So far I have seen at least four people get through very quickly within two months or less all from Japan. I thought it was first come first serve. Just curious is all because it doesn't make any sense to me. (F)(L)(F)

Good grief, it's been 4 weeks since I completed the ds261 and still nothing on the IV invoice!!! How much longer will I have to wait? This is rediculous, I was stuck in the main group of the backlog at USCIS and now the backlog here at NVC and they are stalling us by not having the invoice available ggrrrrr

Yup we have been screwed yet again, my DS-261 was scanned on the 28 Th so it's over four weeks by a tiny bit and still NOTHING this is getting really frustrating. :(:cry:

I've completed the DS261 on May 18 and after a month and a week, I've got IV invoice.

I've sent them two emails and my husband has called one time. We've got the invoice the day after the call. I hope it helps, don't worry. =)

Oh wow and I'm complaining mine has the 28 Th which is when they scanned it I sent it out way before. Thank you. :)(F) (L) (F)

It's been one month since our I-130 got approved, it was shipped to NVC last June 5th. I called NVC and they said they still didn't receive it yet. should i be bothered? I'm afraid that it is lost or NVC are just too slow this time :(

Oh my, I'm so very sorry about this, call USCIS ask them what is going on that NVC has not received it yet and ask them when they sent it as in date they mailed it out. But it just might be taking longer since we are stuck on the USCIS backlog at NVC. (F) (L) (F) Good luck to you, please let us know what happens.

Almost 4 weeks since AOS and civil documents packages were received at NVC from me and no word yet. Is it common to have to wait the full 4 weeks and sometimes longer to hear anything from them?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is now :(NVC is backlogged from USCIS. Seems like everything is taking 30 days or more now. :(:cry:

I think I'll wait about a week after the 4 week date and give them a call to inquire about whats going on. My in laws and nephews, niece, and grandkids can't wait for me to get my status. Like most of us here, it will be one of the biggest stress loads off my shoulders when this is all done and over with. I never imagined that it would take this long for me a Canadian, married to my American wife for going on 12 years.

Sent application to Lewisville, TX on 07/03/2017. Case received and check cashed on 07/11/2017. Biometrics: 08/03/2017. In Line for Interview: 09/05/2017. Interview scheduled: 09/18/17 (notice received 09/21/17). Interview date: 10/23/2017. Oath date: 11/02/2017. Passport received: 11/20/2017.

 

REMOVING OF CONDITIONS (I-751):

Vermont Service Center received package on Aug 18th 2016.

NOA 1 date: Aug 19th 2016 (received letter on Aug 24)

Biometrics date: Sept 23rd 2016

Approval Notice: Jul 24th 2017

Green Card Received: Aug 4th 2017

 

CR1 Visa / Green Card application (conditional residency):

USCIS:

-October 15, 2013- Sent I-130 (Priority Date: Oct 17 2013).

-October 25, 2013- NOA1 hard copy received (notice date: Oct 19, 2013). Processing at NBC.

-March 14, 2014- Transfer notice hard copy received (CSC).

-March 27, 2014- NOA2 hard copy received.

NVC:

-March 31, 2014- NVC received

-April 29, 2014- Case# and IIN assigned

-May 03, 2014- DS-261 submitted online.

-May 07, 2014- AOS bill invoiced and paid.

-May 12, 2014- Sent AOS package by DHL 

-May 12, 2014- IV bill invoiced and paid

-May 13, 2014- Sent IV package by DHL 

-May 14, 2014- DS-260 available and submitted.

-June 17, 2014- AOS documents accepted

-June 18, 2014- CASE COMPLETED! (No checklists!) 

-June 25, 2014- Interview scheduled!

 

US EMBASSY CARACAS:

-July 07, 2014- Medical appointment

-August 21, 2014- INTERVIEW -> Approved!

-August 29, 2014- Visa in Hand

-August 31, 2014- Port of Entry

-October 03, 2014- Green Card received (33 days after POE)

Hi all vjs

Now i m tired....very long &frustrating process....

NOA1 - 5/6/2013

still i haven't case complete...

i m calling from last 6 days to NVC but i don't get any positive answer for my docs.

we have sent out AOS pkg & it delivered to NVC on 05/16/2014 & IV pkg delivered on 06/13/2014.

Today i called NVC for doc scanned date....

i didn't recognized her name but she suggested me to send e-mail to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

i know they will answer my email after 30 days...

I have to wait just know docs scanned date....

Now i decided not to call NVC anymore....

Sorry girl,

I know this process is making us go crazy.

I am stressed out too. I see some people almost got their interview dates who filed with me.

Dont worry lets all pray together something good will happen soon for all of us here.

I ll wait 30 days from today... hope i ll get something.....
