PCOZ yeah we can do nothing only to respond whatever they want :)

True that!

With our checklist extra wait time, I've decided to teach myself the ukelele...

Better than the alternative... :pop:

hi amanda i got cheklist for part 6 question number 13a

Bummer, me too. So many people get a checklist for this, you would think they would realise it is a tricky question and just let you bring an updated form to interview. For me, I used my total income that I earned, not the total income I had on my tax return (which is reduced because I don't reach the threshold to owe tax). So for just one box I wait another month. But hey, what's another month when we have waited 12 months already.

Just had a good laugh with my husband about the absurdity of this system. Just read someone applying for K-1 (fiancé visa) who took 63 days from NOA1 and interview. I don't blame them, they are actually now having to move much sooner than expected which would be stressful too.

It just makes me shake my head at this flawed system and how unpredictable it is. I feel like they just have all of our cases on a huge dartboard and throw darts to see who moves forward next.

Hello all. I need help. I got a checklist for the following

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

I work for a company but I get paid as a 1099 employee. I sent it the cashed/canceled checks and a job letter along with a copy of my 2013 tax return.

I used for 1040 for my tax return for 2011 2012 2013

On part 6. 13.a.1 I put what's on line 37 adjusted gross income.

So now should I put what's on my 1099 or line 22?

Example :

1099 gross income reads 40,000

Line 22 reads 27,456

Line 37 AGI reads 25,654

I am so confused. I paid for my AOS fee and sent in my DS-261on May 27th. I sent in my AOS package on JUne 11th.

I see some people can see when their AOS packages have been scanned into the computer. I have been wait until June 27th to see if my IV bill opens up, but it still hasnt. I havent herd anything from NVC I plan to call on Monday, but is this timing normal and how do I know when my package has been scanned. I am getting a little worried. I thought I would be waiting for case complete by now.

Thank you for responses.

I'll share my post to Facebook yesterday...my "immiversary"...

One year ago today, ...

The year has been a terrible one - but for those bi-national couples where one member is from a high-risk or high-fraud country such as Nigeria, Pakistan or Egypt, the wait could be far worse than 365 days. The process is so very broken.

The light is at the end of the tunnel. Julie and I will be at the US Consulate in Sydney next week for the visa interview. We hope that within another month, we will be able to walk through immigration at JFK together - and that we never have to worry about Julie being turned away again.

Prayers and good thoughts for a positive outcome on July 1st are welcomed!

I totally understand your sentiments and continue to feel everything you are expressing. It is a broken system and makes no sense how so many people can be ahead of us in the process and filed later than we did. I am so upset with my journey and the fact I still can't pay my IV invoice and still have months to go.

Best of luck to you on your interview and may God Bless your continued journey allowing smooth entrance into the USA!!
