Apparently the supervisors can approve for it to be removed, but can't do the action themselves. Therefore they send it back to the department with the instructions to remove it. I think the supervisor we spoke to left, because now when we call for her, it's "She's no longer available?" *Sigh*. I just hope it's done soon.. August interview needed .

Oh my she most likely got tired of the BS, I'm praying whom ever is in charge has a heart and removes it soon. This is just getting more rediculous as time goes on.

I remember a time when I thought that we'd actually make it to the US for the 4th of July this year. Instead we'll probably be at home on the couch with takeout celebrating our 1 year immiversary. Almost 12 months since we posted our I130.

And just to add, ROC is only needed if you've been married under 2 years at time of POE (you get issued a conditional 2 year green card). If you've been married over 2 years at POE, then you'll automatically get a 10 year green card, thus by-passing the ROC process (and saving yourself $600 in the process). So, if you're close to your 2 year anniversary after getting your visa, you may want to hold off a bit.

My IV packet was scanned on May27, i think NVC is working on this date Since i hav a checklist for my AOS, is it worth calling them and asking about the IV packet status.Is it like they won't be processing my IV packet till my AOS is approved?? help plz.

Well it's not so much a matter of the actual I-864 being accurate. I am well aware of the whole N/A thing and filling out all fields correctly. My question was about writing on supporting documents such as bank statements or pay stubs with comments explaining things about them. Is this something I would get check listed for?

As long as all the numbers are eligible, I don't see why you'd get a checklist for notes on pay stubs and bank statements.

How about the question related to printing and replacing pages of the I-864. My father messed up by writing outside the fields and crossing stuff out. Rather than asking him to send the entire thing again by FedEx overseas, I figured I could just re create the pages he messed up on and write it in again myself since the one with his actual signature is fine, but I worry that they would detect differences in the type of paper, pen used, hand writing, etc. I also am unsure about the bar code and whether or not it would be different from the rest of the pages as a result. Do you think it is OK for me to do this or should I just have him re-send everything?
