Here's what I did and suggest you do: fill out a DS-230. Then compare that to the DS-260 screenshots (linked in my wiki). Whatever information is extra (aka not on the DS-230), write it down either on paper on a note file on your computer. Then, when it's time to fill the DS-260, you'll have all the information handy :)

No problem! ^_^ Hopefully it works out and no more time is wasted.

Well, if you can't read at this point, perhaps a lawyer is needed :P Although, from what I've seen here, they aren't that much better at reading :lol:

What do you mean that others are allowed to just take their papers to the embassy and don't have to wait any longer?! I will tell you that I have called the NVC nearly every day for the past month and a half. You do not want to see my long distance bills. I've talked to supervisors; I've had a supervisor review and I've requested expedition, and I don't get anywhere in this process. That's why I've reached out to my state senator; but honestly don't think they can do much either.

I have read that when they ask for a document and either the document for that country is sent to the Embassy or for some reason it's taking to long they allow them to take that document to the Embassy to save time. Please those that this has happened to please chime in.

Do you by any chance have a smart phone, I know they are expensive but can't be as much as calling from Pakistan there is a app/program you can download to it that calls are free. If you have one of these phone depending on which one I have a search that will show you which one to download depending on what phone/cell you have. My husband purchased one for $160 but we will be able to talk all day and night if we wish for free. :D Please consider this option.

She did not find it funny, but I found it to be hilarious :D

Last month I responded to AOS for not putting "N/A" in the physical address

Today I asked operator where I can mail the NVC a checklist for not putting "N/A" on the ceac AOS and completing my case.

She did not find it funny, but I found it to be hilarious :D

My AOS checklist was scanned 5/28 but nothing new as of today :(

THAT wins the internet today! :jest:

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

I just received a false checklist to send the corrected AOS which I already did and was scanned in their system on the 28th..I hope this is good news

Probably based on them reviewing (and accepting) your IV package. Call to confirm ;)

Now once I can fill out my DS-260, I can get back to more waiting... :P

This wait is so difficult. If you are anything like me, you will feel so helpless. Do everything in your power to push it to the back of your mind for a couple of weeks. Good luck!

Do you by any chance have a smart phone, I know they are expensive but can't be as much as calling from Pakistan there is a app/program you can download to it that calls are free. If you have one of these phone depending on which one I have a search that will show you which one to download depending on what phone/cell you have. My husband purchased one for $160 but we will be able to talk all day and night if we wish for free. :D Please consider this option.

There are lots of great technological tools these days. I have a Skype subscription to the US. It doesn't cost too much each month, but I paid around $100 for a 12 month subscription. I can call UK landlines and US cells & landlines at no extra cost. I use this to call my husband at home, or the NVC.

Another option which is free is to use facebook messenger on your cell phone. It will come out of your data allowance, or home wifi if you have your phone connected, but it's free cell to cell calls anywhere in the world.
