Yup taken both. Unfortunately I m stuck becasue of CS. I even paid it's fees in dec thinking I would be there max by June :( now I hope I reach before 31dec otherwise 1500 dollars r gonna go down the drain. And plus I will miss this match since I had to give CS latest by 12th July. I m so depressed. This process is ruining our lives.

My wife is in the same boat unfortunately. She just took her Step 2 CK and I was really counting on her being here by September. But I doubt that will happen thanks to the snails at NVC.

This process really affects our lives more than just not having our partners with us. Important decisions such as jobs and housing choices are all delayed and postponed. Really helpless here.

Exactly. My husband even was up for a tourist visa so that I could go in June and give the exam. Then I could have applied from here In sept. But I was worried that what if I get approved on visa but they deny my entry at POE. So then I have up my hope for this match. Took me a while to gather myself up because of this decision since I spent my entire 2013 studying for exams :( it's frustrating. And then I see ppl who applied way later than us and already having either interview dates or approvals. And makes me even more sad that we r stuck.

Case filed- 3rd June 2013

NOA1- 6-6-2013

Case transferred to NBC- 12-18-2013

NOA2 finally- 4-23-2014

NVC received- 5-7-2014

Case number- 5-31-2014

DS-261- June 10th!

AOS sent- 3rd july

AOS scanned- 11th July

IV paid- 14th July

DS260 submitted- 17th July

IV sent: 19th July

IV scanned: 24th July

Checklist for AOS: Email received 3rd sept

Response sent: 7th sept

Checklist scanned: 11th sept

IV approved: 17 sept :dancing:

Well on the bright side, you have a year to relax and really be on vacation! Residency is super tough.

One can only hope they read it I guess :P

Just checked, it's a 4 hour drive to the closest IRS office...

Ouch, that's far. Well, if he's willing, you can print out the information on your computer, you'd just need all his personal details :/
