Hello.

I'm also joining the joy of those who got invoiced the IV fee today, even if it's not able to pay yet, but never mind.

I have a concern about the IV package, I already have my civil documents in spanish, but do I have to translate them to English? Because in the travel.state.gov page says that translation is required only if the document is in a different language that differs from the country official one, and if that is the case, I know they will require an apostille.

Also do the civil documents in spanish will require one apostille too? That means apostilles for both, spanish and translation documents. What should I do?

Thanks in advance for any answer.

PD: Random thought buzzing in my head; I'm the beneficiary of an IR2 visa, my father (US Citizen) petitioned me in august of the last year, I'm turning 21 this July and I know I won't be able to have an interview before my birthday, I hope one by august, do I have to be worried?

Yes you have to have all documents translated and if you go to the US Embassy in Quito they usually have a list of translators they accept. If I may where will you be having your interview are you in Quito or Guayaquil?

WOW you don't interview at the Embassy but the Consulate in Guayaquil I didn't know that.

One last thing guys, is it true that we can easily get case number and inn to DOS than NVC? Like 1 week after they received the case!

I think you're asking whether you can contact DOS instead of NVC? I've heard that DOS stopped taking calls related to our process, so you need to call the NVC number.

According to LifeOnHold or Lakehouse - one of the L-sisters - the AOS fee should change back to PAID once the package is at the Embassy.

I was about to say it wasn't me who noted a relation to the package being at the Embassy, but it DID change in transit.

Maybe that's what LifeOnHold (or Lakehouse) stated lol

Please DO NOT try to click on the DS261 again once it says complete! It's a TRAP which will cost you and any other curious soul, weeks worth of waiting :wacko:

Ok....so I am seeing a lot of timelines that has a "shipped to nvc" and a "nvc received" column. So my question is....how do u know when the petition shipped from USCIS. Ive called them and was told that they wouldn't know what date it was shipped. Ive even asked to speak to a supervisor and she wouldn't transfer me. All my NOA 2 says is that it was approved June 10th and in fine print that it is being shipped. ..30 days...blah blah...how do I find out when it shipped?

The only way to know for sure is to call the NVC to see when it arrived, and you can call USCIS to see when it was shipped. My case was at TSC which actually sent a shipping notice the day it was sent to NVC, not just the standard words on the NOA2.

ie. NOA2 wording: On February 10, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Next email: On February 27, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly....

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am checking every second and nothing yet, also no email ugh. I received an email like two weeks ago saying next step is to pay IV FEE and nada.

Congrats for the case complete :) wow I thought they are already reviewing the mail they receive from 22 last Friday, so it's mean they didn't work Saturday and Sunday. Losing hope for this week :(

Do you remember the time of the day you spoke with the supervisor? I can't believe she gave me "supervisor review can take up to 30 days" standard answer. So frustrating.

I think it was around 3pm Pacific Time, so about 6 eastern? I remember thinking that I was probably on hold for so long because they were changing shifts.

Hello everyone..after exactly a month sending my AOS packet, I received an email from NVC with an attachment of IV fee bill invoice today. I tried to login and see if I can make a payment online..but it is still not available online...my alternate option to mail the payment.. but I'd rather pay it online and get done..because it is less hassle....anyone went through the same situation? or anyone know..how long will it take for them to let me pay online?

I still can't pay - hopefully tomorrow. But it's definitely not worth sending a check or money order - not while it's taking them a month to open their fricking mail!

I am in the same situation--got the e-mail today but when I sign in it's still not available. Everyone saying it should be soon is reassuring. I don't mind as long as it's in the next few days. My husband is supposed to be sending me documents that we didn't know we needed for the IV packet, so I can't send it till next week.

Well, by that time you will almost certainly have been able to pay, and it will even show up as "paid" rather than "in process" probably!

NVC are doing May 22! I got case complete tonight! Before I call I go check the website AOS fee became magic "N/A"!! So it really work! you can check the AOS fee status to find out CC or not! :dancing:

I just spent 35 minutes dialing NVC, a total of 72 times, to finally have it ring and say that I have to call back another time. Its supposed to be open till 12pm right? its 8:24 pacific time so 11:24 eastern. I'm so frustrated.
