When is it that they usually start scheduling interviews? End of the month or beginning of the month?

Usually the last few days of the month. Dwheels is predicting next Thursday they should start! :-)

Hi all

It has been 6 day's since i got my daughters case & inn # 's , i try to log on to the ceac site to start the process with the choice of agent or pay the aos fee but no luck. It is there but greyed out . I cant do anything.

Sayilin's Wiki says that it takes about a week , but i have seen other peoples timeline and most our 2 ,3 days after the case # has been assigned . If i cant get in tomorrow , should i start calling nvc ?

Thanks :) but how come they haven't received our case until now? It's been 17 days since uscis shipped it :(

Take a look at my timeline, was about 5 weeks for them to receive it. USCIS send files out in the batches, they will say it's been sent when in fact it's been placed in a box. It will arrive at the NVC but they won't say it's received until they scan it, it's not that it actually takes that long to send it. Yours could still be at USCIS, or in transit, or at the NVC waiting on someone to scan it.

I am so sorry for probably a stupid obvious question but i cant seem to figure this out. Some of the forms from nvc have alien registration number and i am really not sure what mine is or if i even have one yet. i have tried searching but i must not be searching for the answer right. If anyone could help i would greaty appreciate it so nervous about making mistakes on these dang paapers and making this nightmare process take even longer.

My A# was on my NOA2, above beneficiary name.

It wouldn't hurt to call, but you might just get told to wait 30 business days, so be prepared for that response. Mine only took a couple of days, but I've heard of people waiting longer. Fingers crossed you can complete the DS-261 and pay the AOS fee soon!

Already thought about the 30 day #######. I will just wait till next week. It is not that important anyway , cause i am still waiting for wifey's approval from USCIS so she can join our daughter in the NVC process.

Don't pay the AOS until your wife also has an NVC case number and is joined up with your daughter's. this way you're making sure you are only paying it once.

I got my case number exactly one week ago and I also still cannot fill out the DS-261. It says that my case is not eligible for further processing at this time. I guess they are just being slow lately. I will try again later today.

I got my Case Number June 19, 2014 Then I Submitted my DS-261 online Yesterday .

No it's pretty much how it works, it seems long to you since the whole process for you up to NVC only took about a month. So waiting at NVC will most likely seem like an eternity to you. You'll get yours soon just relax and take a load off. :D

My alien number appeared on my NOA2 for the I-129F. (There wasn't one on the I-130's NOA2.)

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

What can I say? many of us are waiting for so long for everything (some longer than others). One month is awesome, I am happy and envious for the people that applied this year!

Same here wish it was me, my timeline doesn't actually reflect how long we've been waiting since USCIS decided to change our date from March 1 to June 24 Th due to their own stupid mistake. But I would give up all the fun (;)) we have had all this time waiting at USCIS and here for a fast run to be first in line. :D Would be thrilled to death. (F) (L) (F)
