nvc received our case June 2, 2014, my husband called today and they gave the case and invoice number, using those numbers we can't generate it on ceac website. what should we do? your help will be greatly appreciated

It usually takes about 24 hours (or more) for your #'s to be recognized on the ceac site.

Congrats to all of the people with CC! It's great to see a little progress from NVC! My IV was scanned 5/22, so hopefully they will review it soon. Not a major hurry though because they only received my checklist docs on Monday, so I will still be waiting awhile.

Does anyone who had a checklist for AOS, get a false checklist when their IV packet was approved? I might call next week to find out my checklist scan date and also ask if my IV packet has been reviewed and accepted. Fingers crossed no more checklists!

Hi Everyone!

This forum is really great, I am happy that it exists.

This is my 2nd round through the USCIS system. I am a USC and brought my husband to the US in a K1 in 2006 (it took 9 months , expedited and with congressional support!! I hope the time is shorter now.)

After many years living between the US and Chile, we decided to stay in Chile for employment reasons. My husband is a LPR, but unofficial my abandoned his status in 2012, when his re-entry permit expired.

Now,we have decided to sell everything s d move back to the US!

Which means starting the process over via I 130

We are waiting it out in Chile, until we get done kind of confirmation from NVC that the visa is in process

We have two small children, both USC so we just need to petition for my husband

I am a little concerned because I sent the package on May 27th, from Patagonia (think end of the earth) via UPS

The package was signed for on June 1st, but I haven't received my NOA :(...

Has anyone else filed recently from Chile???

I was ignorantly certain that the process would go quickly as my husband was a LPR until recently

What are other people's experiences with the process, filing from abroad?

Does the Chicago Lockbox emit the NOA? If dies it come from a district office???

Hi,Dont panic if you haven't received your NOA1 from USCIS because i never got one either and was approved in 6 months.sometimes for some reason some people dont receive it.the best thing to do is to call them and get your receipt number from them.\ in order to follow your case through the website.

What are other people's experiences with the process, filing from abroad?

Does the Chicago Lockbox emit the NOA? If dies it come from a district office???

I am in Santiago, Chile!!!! We just got our NOA2 for the I-130 for my husband. We sent the package via DHL and it was transferred to California. It as approved in 14 days.

Did you include G-1145 form in your submission to get an email upon receipt? I did and the day after it was delivered I got an email from USCIS telling me they were transferring the case to California Service Center.

In the I-130 did you put your address in Chile for both you and your husband or did you put a US address?

Im so happy to have connected with you here as we are also waiting in Chile before moving. I hear Patagonia is BEAUTIFUL! We will plan a trip this summer to visit so let me know if you have any tips :)
