My husband and I are going to talk to the lawyer when all this is done. Trust me we will give them a bad review and see what else we could do. I haven't mention in this forum how unprofessional she has been with us, she has crossed the line with comments too.

The paralegal made all those mistakes? I'm assuming you've talked with the attorney about these ridiculous errors? If not, it should definitely be brought to his attention!

I wonder if there's any other recourse for the awful job they've done (if they advertise on Yelp or other sites, I would most certainly post a negative review).

I'm a bit worried about a getting a checklist on current income.

In short, I'm self employed AND claim foreign earned income exclusion. But! My income is us-sourced and will continue after I move back (I am the petitioner).

I plan to use 2013's income total from taxes for my current income. It is high enough because I was in the US for a quarter of 2013. I also plan to include a note that explains all this, including a letter from accountant that attests to my work can be done anywhere in the world.

My bank accounts show an income (deposits) higher than what I'll put for current income, but I'm trying to hedge against tax owing, etc.

Do you guys think as long as my bank account deposits clearly show a pattern of consistent, adequate income, the exact amount in current income matters? I so do want to avoid a checklist (like all of us!)

I think every bit helps and it sounds to me you have a great source to show them so why not. Choke them with evidence how can they say no.

I think a few of us are feeling the same. I tell my husband that I go to sleep dreaming of the time we will be together when in fact I stay awake stressing of the moments we are apart. It was nice seeing Chenoi's posts and photo's reminding us why we are putting ourselves through this. There will come a time when we look back and say "remember all those sleepless nights, I'm so glad they are over now"

Hopefully in little over a week then. Fingers crossed!

Just got off the call from NVC, my AOS Package has been approved without a checklist. Thanks God !!!

- In part 3( Family members) = Blank

- In part 7(Assets to supplement income)= I put 0.00 on all of lines

- I put N/A on all of lines that I can input by computer( not handwrite )

I feel for so many of you separated from your spouses. I am not, so my antsiness is more about wanting to leave his country NOW, but for hose of you separated from your spouse, I am sorry for the extra hardship you endure. To go through that and finish with your sanity in tact is no small thing!

I am in the same boat as you. Yesterday, after I found out about the mistake of the paralegal I went to bed and couldn't sleep, turned to the left then to the right. I could not even count sheep, so decided to read a boring book. Refreshed VJ every 5 minutes and I saw you posting all night...I was thinking "thanks to Soleanta I have something to read in here" . I think I should go to bed.....before I eat everything in the fridge!

Congratulations...and thanks for the tips! I have been wondering about the family members part, and had planned on putting n/A on all those, just to be safe.

Seems like most lines on computer would not accept the / in N/A.

Not too sure about case numbers but they are working on docs received from 20th by the looks of things.

Thanks so much, it's lovely to hear how everyone appreciates everybody's different situations. I feel bad because we took a new house together which I'm not living in (in the states) and in the meantime I'm living with friends. It's difficult, and as much as I sometimes think "if only we were together it would be great" it wouldn't. If we were in our house together it would be but not somewhere else. The biggest part of my stress is not knowing WHEN it will all happen, so for both of you going through that, it must be tough.

In part 6, items 13.a 13.b and 13.c write the exact amount that appears on your transcript or 1040 form, which I assume is 0$ because you put it as foreign income.

But in current individual annual income (part 6, items 5 and 10) write the amount you are currently earning, which has to be above 125% of the poverty level for your household. Use the bank accounts as evidence for this current income, and preferably include a document that verifies that you own the company/business (Like a business license or certificate of status)

The numbers that have to match exactly are those in items 13.a 13.b and 13.c, which have to match total income if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A) or adjusted gross income if you filed a 1040EZ
