Separately - got the full Arthur experience when he started the conversation by tearing me to shreds for using Skype and my voice not being loud enough. He must be deaf because no other agent has had any trouble hearing me before. It went downhill from there...

Oh I'm so sorry about your checklist issues AND Arthur! I got the Skype lecture from him, too.

Hello All,

congratulation for all case complete :dancing:

I just called NVC and still no update on my case (waiting on my wife IV fee 20 days now), as you all know the 30days song, but she also told me that they are working overtime and weekend (do not know how true is that),,,nothing we can do except waiting :protest:

SAME HERE!!

There is no way the officers are working OT & weekends. First, they're government workers lol Second, if they were, the time frame would be speeding up. They're still holding strong at taking 30 days to review.

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

Question

resubmitting ds-261 can affect reviewing my package? checklist entered the system on May 20th, i resubmitted ds-261 on May 24th.

You've already paid the IV bill and such, so no, it shouldn't effect anything as you're past the DS-261 stage.

I tried to email nvc about agent of choice, and gmail (! Seriously) bounced back. Gmail. Some nonsense about poor server reputation on the bounce error. You'd think gmail would pass their muster.

Just grumbling here at one more thing :)

They're contracted paper pushers, not actual gov't employees. I doubt OT for them is anything like what a legitimate government employee would get. They're probably getting time and a half on like $10/hr or something. It does seem really unlikely that actual OT is occurring, though. It seemed plausible last time they started the backlog spiel because processing times were brought back in line within a few weeks. This time it's just dragging on :( Doesn't seem like they're getting back on track at all.

Do you guys think I should go ahead and get a copy of the letter from the IRS confirming extension on filing from sponsor in the mail, or wait for the supervisor review to confirm whether it's needed? Any chance that that would be something we could take to the interview given I satisfied the assets requirement anyway?

I'm home alone tonight and can't switch the brain off...
