I'll be calling back tonight!

I also bought my ticket to see my hubby in August. $699 one way to London in the middle of August. Thank you for the skyscanner tip!!! Trips from Prague to Minneapolis are looking cheap, too! But, I have to wait to buy that one lol

Brilliant! Glad it helped! Not bad from the states to fly to London! I hope we get a case complete soon.. I'm sure a July interview isn't in our near future? :/ Maybe it is?!

I hope we make it for July, but I let go of that this morning. :/

But, my husband just created an event for his going away party with his mates the day after I arrive, so it's finally sinking in that the light at the end of the tunnel is near!

Pls saylin I need clarification about this, I'm a bit worried, my interview is next month at lagos, and i haven't filed for 2013 tax return, since we applied for extension till sept, we're going to loose some money if we file now, all I have is evidence for application of tax extension from IRS and w2.what should I do?

Hope for the best, otherwise they'll put you in AP until you provide 2013 tax information.

I'm not entirely sure, but I bet that you'd just fill in $0 as the income, with an explanation letter that they don't make enough money to file taxes, but that they qualify on assets alone. Then in the assets section of the i864 you'd put the value of assets, and send supporting documentation (bank statements, appraisal of house, etc). You may want to file 2013 taxes for them (even though they don't have to file) just so that if you get a checklist you can send something... But now that I think about it, isn't there an irs form that will back up the claim that they don't actually have to file? I don't know that much about us taxes, but I think there is.

Logically, and with my "lawyer's daughter" ability to read forms, that's my best guess. But I'm not an expert, or an accountant, so if anyone knows more, please chime in!

This would apply to anyone qualifying on assets alone, not just retired sponsors.

Thank you for your input Nightingalejules, so I know I would put $0 with an explanation but my parents make enough without assets but they are going to add them so there is no rejection. So not sure what the heck to put in my parents I-864 and I-864a. I have searched but boy none really helps me out. I'm at a total loss but I want to thank you profusely for your input it means the world to me. I don't feel I'm screaming in the forest. ;)(F) (L) (F)

Almost forgot, yes we are going to IRS to ask them about this I do think there is a form/letter something they have for this. I did call for my parents and Social Security sent letters stating how much they make before and after they take out for Medical and I'm only assuming I put down what they make before the deduction but not sure. I think!

She's probably right! If they open up a Publix and start serving their subs, I don't think you'll have any reason to come to the US! You'll have everything you need there!

I'm almost feeling like I want to call and confirm. My esposo called and asked if the mail had been reviewed and they guy said he couldn't tell. Then the guy says "but your case is complete" My esposo says "it's complete?" he says "yes, next is the interview. They'll send you an email for when your interview is"

The guy also told my esposo that we have to bring the original marriage cert to the interview.

It's making me a little nervous because my esposo called for Spanish but said the guy was definitely NOT mother tongue Spanish. So I'm worried maybe the guy misunderstood? Miss-communicated?

I think I want to call again...
