did your i 864 have only one joint sponsor? You being the petitioner, did you file it yourself or had someone do it for you?

The reason I am asking is because I am trying to relate it to my case so that I can expect the same from NVC.

Thank you

hi dude,

-my wife and her uncle both are sponsoring me and my wife put information of both in i 864 form.

-my brother in law has filled all the documents, infact he has handled throughout the case..

thanx

LOL! I'm a World Cup widow this month. Our nightly chats have consisted of me talking about my day, hubby's listening, I'm mid-sentence - "OH COME OFF IT! That's a penalty! swear word swear word - sorry honey, what did you say?"

The joys of being married to an English footballer lol

My wife's newly-wed niece was complaining the other day of being a soccer widow. I overheard her and suggested to her to keep asking her husband dumb questions about the white lines on the pitch and goal posts material, especially during charged moments of the game. I promised her that before long, her husband would throw his wallet at her and begs her to go to town.

21-MAR-2014 I-140 + PP sent to USCIS

31-MAR-2014 Petition approved

16-APR-2014 Case shipped to NVC

29-APR-2014 Case received by NVC

6-JUN-2014 DS-260 forms submitted

10-JUN-2014 IV Docs received by NVC

13-JUN-2014 IV Docs matched to case (scanned)

30-JUL-2014 Case Complete, CC email auto-sent one week later

20-AUG-2014 AOS fee changed to N/A (Final clearance for interview scheduling?)

29-AUG-2014 Consular Interview scheduled on Oct 1st. Later rescheduled to Sep 24th. P4 Letter received following business day

14-SEP-2014 CEAC status changed to Ready

CASE COMPLETE!! as of yesterday... :dancing::) .. AOS checklist was scanned on may 16

Nice, another May 16th! Congratulations!!:dance:

Great news!! We got a case complete. May 19th for us. We are so excited!! :goofy::dance::goofy:

Awesome news! Congrats to you too!! :dancing::dancing:

I just joined Visa Journey as a member and I have been reading lot of posts here and preparing my visa documents based on the discussion coupled with NVC site information. Thanks everybody for the informations posted. I am late comer though. My status is in AOS review status for both my beloved wife and step daughter and waiting for DS-261 review to be completed. Married close to one year ago. Since it is vacation for the kids, we decided to go to the foreign country to join my wife and step daughter. But stil waiting patiently for IV invoice and further steps to cross in the journey.

That is all the intro. Now the question. is there anything need to considered special for the step daughter visa? Anybody has gone through the visa journey by lanes of both spouse and step daughter visa processing?

My wish and prayers are with you all.

Welcome to the forum nvc4all!

Nothing is really much different for your stepdaughter's case. Remember that you will have to submit separate stand-alone AOS and IV packets for each your wife and daughter. Depending on how old your daughter is, she might not need police certificates. Read the Country Reciprocity page in DOS's website for more details. Also, don't forget to read Saylin's NVC wiki page.

I almost forgot! Unless there are other specific rules for your embassy or foreign country, you will also need a consent letter from the biological father in which he authorizes your stepdaughter to apply for an immigrant visa (if she is a minor). You will need this letter for the embassy, but you can also submit it in her NVC packet.

Good Luck!!

Called NVC, spoke to agent Fiona. I didn't have a note of her on my list so perhaps she is new? (someone posted a list of agents, shifts and attitudes. I turned this into a spreadsheet so when I call I type in their name and see what the expected attitude will be lol). Perhaps Fiona is really Joy and she's changed her name because she was GRUMPY!!

So I asked if there were any updates since finding out my AOS docs were being reviewed. She said she had no updates, the docs from May 27th (AOS) and from June 17th (IV) are currently being reviewed. I was taken aback as didn't expect my civil docs to be reviewed so soon, so I asked if by reviewed she meant someone was actually looking and reviewing the docs or if that just means they are waiting to be allocated to someone. She, feeling the need to give me an English lesson, said "of course that means someone is looking at and reviewing the docs, that's what review means!" but then said the review can take up to 30 days so I have no idea if my docs are being reviewed or not! Guess I just need to keep calling every day until I'm told one, all or none of my docs have actually been reviewed yet! :clock::rolleyes:

thanx FABIAN,

1-Is it compulsory to bring co-sponsor tax returns and basic information filled in i 864 in interview?

2-Secondly, the mail i have received of case completion has a subject of ISLXXXXXXX (checklist), but it is stated that "we have finished your case and we will send you interview date, do not contact with US embassy in pakistan"....so my question is that everyone who receive the the case completion mail has the same subject of mail and everyone has to bring co-sponsor tax returns and basic information in interview with him/her ? please advice..

thanx in advance

Hello usman,

What tax documents did you submit for yourself and your co-sponsors? Actual tax returns or IRS transcripts? Only asking because some members who recently had their interviews reported that CO's were asking for 2013 transcripts, even though petitioners submitted full tax returns.

Unfortunately I do not have my CC letter handy, so I cannot verify if I also received that same message, or if it's specific to Pakistan. You could call NVC and ask them to explain further.

Good luck!

So much more action than the Mexico - Brazil game! There's an enormous TV on the wall in front of me at work tuned to the World Cup all day, my productivity isn't as high as when they had the US Open on...
