Aww, thanks! I would love to! Don't think it'd be that easy here in Fargo, North Dakota though

Online consultancy! VJ members would write testimonials for you ^_^ Don't forget -- "I just saved a bunch of money switching to VJ!"

My In-laws' cases are complete as of yesterday. We received a checklist for i-864A for not writing "N/A" for address (on 06/12). When I had questioned NVC about the checklist, I was told that Mumbai consulate doesn't want any fields to be left blank. I re-sent the forms with "N/A" (received by nvc on 16th, still have not been scanned), and emailed the consulate stating that this is absolutely absurd, waste of resources, abuse of power and fraud. NVC is already backlogged and people are getting ridiculous checklist similar to mine. Also, if this is a requirement, it should be made public knowledge. Mumbai Consulate called NVC and got checklist removed.

FYI: AOS fee is "N/A"

That's a very interesting tactic! I've never heard of anyone having success removing a checklist for that by going through NVC directly, but having the embassy/consulate get on their butts is brilliant. Anyone who has just received a checklist for that bogus blank line, have you tried this?

question on i-864 ??

on part 5 sponsor`s household size :

my wife is the sponsor and she lives in her parents house till i get to usa (she lives with father mother and brother) but when i get to usa me and my wife will go to our own house in other word she lives Temporary in this house

by the way she doesn`t depend any one in the house

the question is :

does she need to add them ( father mother and brother) in her household ????????

No. Remember, a household doesn't necessarily mean people under the same roof. There can be multiple living in one house, but are part of multiple households. If your wife isn't dependent on anyone and vice versa, then she's in her own household, so she doesn't need to include them.

That would be cool! Not sure how to legally do that though... And hehe VJ testimonials would be awesome!

And I still love that line!!

Slow start on the NVC front today... Didn't turn the phones on until 7.04. Fortunately I now know the hold music so well these days that I was able to mange to concentrate on tv while on hold rather than staring st the iPad willing someone to answer!

Carla (is she new?) told me to wait 30 business days then call back....umm... Yeah, thanks, I'll speak to you tomorrow. Cheers.

Not sure if I already asked you this question but did you have a lawyer? :P. You were invoiced IV fee in 14 days after completion of DS261 while most of us have been waiting for almost 30 days.

If they completed a DS-261, then they don't have a lawyer ;)

I just got off the phone, spoke with a man in Spanish forgot to ask his name but he was very nice. I was on hold for 40 minutes, he told me that they received my AOS package on June 11, that its going to take the usual 30 days. He also said to wait 30 days for the damn IV FEE. Hopefully by next week or the first week of July. I am going to just relax because I have other things going on in my life and I don't want to be stressing so much.

Yeah, it really bites. I could never get anyone to track down my original confirmation, (most of them wouldn't even let me read the confirmation number to them) so I'm presuming that I'll get it sometime near a month after the resubmit date of May 21. I'm so angry about it, but trying to get anyone at NVC to do anything about it was just making me angrier, so I decided to just tough it out.

Thanks for the good vibes. Believe me, there will be dancing sunglasses men when they finally let me pay that $&@%# fee!

I'm actually not convinced reading the confirmation number would work. I'm in the same situation, submitted once on May 13th then it went incomplete and I submitted again on May 21st. I looked at both my confirmation pages and the confirmation number is exactly the same on both.

I've tried to get NVC to do something but they won't because in their system May 21st is the only date they have. So now I'm just playing the waiting game.

2013: Sep 09: I-130 sent (Phoenix lockbox)

Sep 20: I-130 NOA1

2014: Feb 26: Transfer to TSC

Mar 18: NOA2

May 9: CASE NUMBER

May 12: DS261 available and filled in online.

May 13: Sent EP enroll email

May 20: AOS finally shows as paid

May 21: AOS emailed

May 21: Accidentally re-submitted DS261 :(

Jun 09: EP Enroll confirmation email received

Jun 13: AOS entered into their system

Jun 26: IV invoice received and paid

Jun 26: IV package sent

Jun 27: DS-260 submitted

Jul 3rd: Re-sent IV package (NVC messed up and deleted my email)

Jul 8th: Scan date

Aug 22: Case Complete!

Oct 10: Interview

Ahh you are right!! I asked because even though some people had lawyers, they ended up completing DS261, I think. My Brain is fried :P

They shouldn't have. If a lawyer is attached to the case, then they're automatically selected as agent, thus no DS-261 and the IV bill is invoiced with the AOS bill because of that.
