I think it depends on her citizenship doesn't matter where she was born. if right now she is holding australia passport, i would believe she gave up chinese citizenship. in this case, should be the embassy in australia if she is australia citizenship. But if she is still Chinese citizenship, then the case number should start GUZ..

WRONG, it doesn't matter what your citizenship is. Visa interviews are conducted where the applicant legally resides.

The section in bold and red is also incorrect. If a person is a citizen or born in country A but legally resides in country B, they can interview in country B.

Hey I got the copies of the aos and other supporting docs in the mail from where the attorneys filled it out. I have 4 kids but they only put 2 of them as dependants probably because of what the divorce decree says and or my w2s where I'm allowed to claim 2 at the end of the year!? Oh my goodness! And line 7 of part 3 where it says total#of immigrants you are sponsoring They put 0 in that box yet in part 5 where it says enter # you entered on line 7 of part 3 they put a 1 there!? Omg! I don't get it? Why I hope I don't get a check list! Ugh

my husband is very stubborn and he doesn't want to call cause in his opinion it's not our time yet, grrrr.

Dang i called first thing in the morning last friday out aos was scanned may 13th and the guy i talked to (sorry didnt catch his name) said it havent touchec or reviewed yet think i have to call

Yes I AM REALLY SICK OF IT TOO. I am obsessed, I check on my laptop, through my phone while I am at work with the hopes that the invoice is there and is like every day is a let down.

If takes 4 weeks to get IV invoice, then I should get it the end of the month, then I need another month to get documents reviews and CC, then another month to get an interview date, and another month for the interview , that will be 3 month from July, if anything go without checklist then I should hope I will be done by Oct if I am still a live (this is really ridiculous) that is almost 2 years to get your wife/husband here

I see you have received the EP enrollment e-mail from NVC. You just e-mailed the AOS package and was auto enrolled right? This is what my agent did, they e-mailed the packaged and said it takes 20 days for them to get to it. I see yours took 21 days from sending it to receiving notification with them. Mine was sent on the 27th but it was well into the afternoon so it may be more like the 28th. Now it has been about 20-21 days today and I didn't receive an e-mail yet.

Today is my 12-month "immi-versary". One year since we made the decision and sent the paperwork for the I-130 to return the US and we are still waiting. I am not complaining, as others have waited longer. But, there is something wrong with a system that makes it so difficult for me to return home with the family I have created.

I know there are a lot of factors involved in the delays, but I have such a straighforward case (married 11 years, no divorces or other complicated family situation, no criminal history, make enough money, etc.) my family can't believe or understand why it is taking me so long to get there.

I continue to wait as patiently as I can and enjoy coming to VisaJourney to read about everyone's good news that keeps me positive that there is an end in sight.

You should definitely call. They've been working on the 16th since Friday night.

Just got off the phone with NVC.

The representative told me my AOS scanned date of 05/19 has "almost finished processing" and that "its at the tail of it" and

concluded by saying "You will hear something fairly soon"

So I am keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully by Friday I should hear back from them. Just one more step in getting case complete.

I don't know if yours is Embassy specific but I asked the Embassy in Cairo a while back and they said it didn't matter if it was the country of birth or not since some people work abroad.

I received an email and text message this morning regarding our case. It was not a good start of my day! I received that our case got approved May 29, 2014 but I never received the hard copy of NOA2. Then I received an email this am!

"Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On June 17, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

OUR CASE IS BACK ON INITIAL REVIEW?!? I DIDN'T CHANGE MY ADDRESS OR ANYTHING & I RECEIVED THE NOA1 BEFORE.. THE LAST UPDATE BEFORE THIS WAS OUR CASE WAS FORWARDED TO NVC ON JUNE 5, 2014. WILL THAT HAVE AN IMPACT? WILL IT PROLONG THE WAITING TIME AGAIN?

I'm currently waiting for USCIS Tier 2 & i don't know what to do :(

Today i have received an email from NVC stating that "we have finished your case and we will send you interview date, do not contact with local embassy," so it means our case is complete now ? and we should wait for the interview date ? they also stated that i should bring the tax return of co-sponsor in interview.. does everyone received the same email on case completion? it is compulsory to bring tax returns of cosponsor in interview ? i am confused please advice.

im not sure about yours because I received an email stating now i'm enrolled in EP and i was assigned to a new case number.

Only the embassy in Guangzhou China is different because EP and mail-in are different case #. I had GUZ first then after enrolled to EP, it changed to GZO.

So Im not sure if they still send out the enrollment email confirmation to other countries who are qualified to EP. I'm still waiting for my IV fee. I resubmitted DS261 accidentally on may 30, my original was May 19 too.

You def should call in and ask what is going on, I did call them to ask if they are reviewing my AOS. They said they started reviewing on June 11th.
