My AOS scanned date was May 19, which means today is the "21 st Business Day"

Anyone around that date and waiting for AOS to be reviewed?

i'm 20th and i'm curious what is going on at NVC.

my husband is very stubborn and he doesn't want to call cause in his opinion it's not our time yet, grrrr.

i think they are still working on 16ish. you still have a day or two to go.

My AOS was scanned on the 19th May as well and I have not heard anything yet....hurry up and wait...that's all I do these days!

Hi all!

I received an email and text message this morning regarding our case. It was not a good start of my day! I received that our case got approved May 29, 2014 but I never received the hard copy of NOA2. Then I received an email this am!

"Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On June 17, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators."

OUR CASE IS BACK ON INITIAL REVIEW?!? I DIDN'T CHANGE MY ADDRESS OR ANYTHING & I RECEIVED THE NOA1 BEFORE.. THE LAST UPDATE BEFORE THIS WAS OUR CASE WAS FORWARDED TO NVC ON JUNE 5, 2014. WILL THAT HAVE AN IMPACT? WILL IT PROLONG THE WAITING TIME AGAIN?

Today i have received an email from NVC stating that "we have finished your case and we will send you interview date, do not contact with local embassy," so it means our case is complete now ? and we should wait for the interview date ? they also stated that i should bring the tax return of co-sponsor in interview.. does everyone received the same email on case completion? it is compulsory to bring tax returns of cosponsor in interview ? i am confused please advice.

I just called and was told they are currently review my AOS docs which they received/scanned on May 27th.

did your i 864 have only one joint sponsor? You being the petitioner, did you file it yourself or had someone do it for you?

The reason I am asking is because I am trying to relate it to my case so that I can expect the same from NVC.

Does she have a routing and account number for a US bank account? if so, she'd be quicker doing the electronic transfer?

hello, I have a question can you sent the DS 260 doc. before you submit the paperwork ? I have already paid the fee just waiting for it to be accepted insha Allah.

once IV fee shows PAID, DS260 will become available. You can go ahead and fill it out even before sending IV supporting docs.

When did you submit the email to request expedite? I submitted one on June 12, 2014 and I called NVC this morning and they stated that they haven't reviewed my email request yet, and that they review them in the order they are received.

In your case I am pretty sure "Under Review" means that they logged your request in the NVC system and forwarded your request to your respected Embassy. The Embassy is the decision maker in expedite request. So under review means that the NVC did there part and forwarded it to them.

I talked to a friend who works for DOS. And she said it could be same day within a few hours or a few days.

A lot has to do with the Embassy current work load, so if they are swamped with IV's it may take longer but if not, you should hear back fairly quickly.....I'm guessing but this system is broke so who knows.......

Are you paying online? (Which is what they prefer) If so, she doesn't need to have physical cheques - just a bank account in the US with money in it. She can call the bank and ask for the routing number and the account number.

If you're paying with checks, yes, it doesn't matter whose account it comes from, so her father can write the check as well.
