CASE COMPLETE as of June 11th! :):dancing: Waiting for an interview.

Congratulations!!!!!! Yet another September filer moving right on through. :)

I think the GC number is the Alien # which you get printed on the IV stamp from the Consulate. Some people already have their A# from previous cases. Not sure how long the physical GC takes (Some said a couple of months), however, your POE-stamped IV is your GC for all work/travel purposes until it expires six months later.

I do have a question to others: Is the six months expiry date from IV issue date or POE date? My guess is the latter.

Cheer up! Judging from the last few weeks, Tuesday is the big news day of the week.

It is six months from the date of your medical exam. You MUST enter the US before this date (six months from medical).

Do you guys know if once the beneficiary crosses the border with the temporary GC/passport stamp, are they allowed to cross right back into their country (Mexico) if they are not ready to permanently move to the U.S.? For example, once my spouse has his interview, is he allowed to cross over into the U.S. once he is approved and then come right back until we are ready to move together? Sorry if this is confusing or has already been answered.

Yes, it's possible. Many Canadians do this to finish up loose ends (end of work, sell house, etc)

Hello all, I am here with yet another question. My application is still under process, i filled out my DS-260 in April. In the last week of May, me and my wife were blessed with a baby girl :) Now in the DS- 260 i have written i have no children, however the situation has changed now, do i jst explain this at the interview or do i have to notify the NVC?

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl!

I think you should be proactive with NVC and notify everyone and their dog of the birth of your baby girl, who by the way is a US citizen born abroad. The process for getting her US birth certificate from the US consulate is different and it may take few weeks. Call the US consulate and ask for the procedure and details on consular report of birth abroad. Check the info below if you haven't done so. Congratulations again!

HI, My wife is currently living in china, she is holding Australia passport, she was born in china, she went to Melbourne for college when she was 20, and her company sent her back to work in china 5 years ago, (that was when i met her), i am petitioner ,me just confused which Embassy will be for her interview? please kindly advise!!

2013: Oct-09 send our i-130 petition

Oct-11-13 - NOA1

May-27-14 - NOA2 our I-130 was approved

Jun-06-14 - NVC received our case from uscis

I think it depends on her citizenship doesn't matter where she was born. if right now she is holding australia passport, i would believe she gave up chinese citizenship. in this case, should be the embassy in australia if she is australia citizenship. But if she is still Chinese citizenship, then the case number should start GUZ..

I just got a check list for my AOS that was scanned on 5/16. Just the part 13.a.1. For caution do I need to send all docs or just the revise I864?

Also I would like to add another doc on my IV packet that was already sent. I'm sure I will get a checklist for that one, is it to go ahead and sent it before they review the initial packet?

If so on the cover sheet the place it says ATTN:

What is the right acronym for IV?

Thanks
