Well, I'm back.

I just spoke to NVC to ask about my interview date and they said my case isn't complete and is still under review. I'm so confused. Last week they said case complete as of the 27th of May. Ugh. Feeling really sad. :'(

I am almost 100% certain what your accountant told you is not true. Almost everyone who files as MFG with spouse's SSN as NRA end up amending it and file MFJ after spouse arrives in the US and has a valid SSN. This results in much bigger refund as a result. Someone please correct me if wrong.

you would absolutely get a bigger refund but if your wife wasnt here then how can you claim her? He said IRS would trouble you if you do it. Not worth the hassle for a couple of hundred dollars.

You can claim your foreign spouse on your return. That is the reason why they have form called W7 which allows you to get spouse's TIN number until she/he gets SSN. I am not a tax expert but this what I have heard multiple times on various forums and blogs.

Hello June NVC forum... wow only June 2 and already up to page 26!!! Im resisting the urge to call and see if they have received my case until Wednesday (USCIS sent everything out on May 21 so this Wednesday makes 2 weeks)

My tax transcript is $0 because all my income is Canadian too so thanks so much everyone who is posting on that topic.

Went Friday to order hubby's police certificates (they said 3-5 weeks) and long form Birth Certificate (they didn't give an ETA) and I'm hoping they come in time so nothing gets held up once I need them.

My case # was assigned also on May 23 and have checked the website, Its still the normal error message. No forms yet to be filled and no fees yet to be paid. Guess they have not finished imputting it into their system. Am just so pissed off.

Guyssss got the case number :D it was generated on Saturday which means 24 days Yayy :D I think she was Jeen. Very polite lady. Gsve me the IIN number as well but didn't take email addresses. Said u have to wait 2 days before u can do anythbing. I m happy :D

Same situation. My case# was assigned on May 21, and still no AOS fees and the termination error message. I did however fill out the DS261. Keep checking for that..

Psssst! I'm an undercover agent in this forum from the I-140 clan :secret: (Translation: wasn't asked, didn't tell marriage date to USCIS. I didn't inhale either, if you're butting in Bill).

However, I do get your point. I bet every CO, CBP officer and Papa Jones dispatcher will see our Colorado marriage date if they punch in our names.

And oh yes, having a good laugh is definitely needed. Although I may not be going through the process and don't have the same frustrations, I definitely still have frustrations from people not reading the wiki I put together or looking up current time frames on my spreadsheet, etc etc.

It's funny you mention taking down the wiki for a day. On a car trip yesterday, I was venting to my husband about how a lot of people seem to not actually read stuff that's provided and I joked how I should just up and leave one day, taking down the wiki and my spreadsheet in the process :devil: Sometimes, I am severely tempted to do this out of frustration...

Hi everyone. I can't seem to get help anywhere related to i864...

I think my sponsor's situation is one of a kind.

He is a business owner, works with wife. He doesn't get payroll but wife gets payroll. Their transcripts are identical. Wife gets w2, he doesnt obviously. Now when i fill out part 5, current income, i put their combined total income from transcript. But there is a section right below it asking if anyone elses income was included in the current income. Technically his wife's income is included in that if i write her name as PART 6.a and her payroll amount for the year and add them at PART 6.10 it will not match the current income. (I just called and lady was bitter so I couldnt explain it to her. She insisted I put line 22 in current income and whatever wife makes in 6.a section, well if you add line 22 and wife's w2 amount it will be totalincome+w2, which will be more(exactly w2 amount) than what the ACTUAL tax return transcript shows.)

I am very confused on how to go about this. Should I just joint sponsor w/ his wife instead? and not include him at all(No 864A)? Since her income can be separated and she has w2 transcript to attach to show only her portion of the total income from the tax return transcript?

In that case: For HER current income I only put the section from tax return transcript that applies to her(IE: the w2 amount which exactly matches "her contribution")

Skip to 6.13 and for Total incomes for past 3 years, Put husband+wife combined?

From a quick read, it looks easiest to use his wife ... but the bolded statement above has me believing you are confused on that point, as current income doesn't come off a transcript as it's what is anticipated for 2014.

Canadian Citizen, married to American Citizen living in Toronto for the past 7 years (married 7 years). Leaving Canada for the U.S.

Just submitted the I-130 (along with the G-325a for the both of us) and item was delivered successfully today

Will be visiting my in-laws for a few days in June. Will this cause any issues for me crossing the border?

Also, anyone what the approximate wait time is from end to end in terms of submitting the app I-130 to getting the Greed Card for Canadian Citizens?

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!

(I want to scream and cry and can't because I'm in the middle of class!!! AHHHHHH)
