Whatever you send NVC, they send to the embassy/consulate after an interview date has been assigned.

I see, this is what I thought but I second guessed after Changnoi stated they asked for his 2013 Tax transcripts. Maybe I should ask him if there was a problem that they knew he had something adjusted?

Which I can not handle. I'm calling them back right now. This is not right.

FWIW, I put down our same address even though it does not state it as an option. Even though it was not different. I remember reading on here at some point to NOT leave it blank...so that's what we did. Our case went through without checklists. My heart goes out to you. Because you are right...this is complete BS. Why do they have to make everything so bass ackwards? Hope you get this resolved soon.

Thanks. I just don't want to hear anymore about how I should have read this somewhere. Apparently this is stated in the "directions" to which I still and not privy to. I do not care to look it up either because it makes no difference. The only silver lining in all of this is that at worse I just wasted the speedy timeline I was given by having AOS and IV invoiced at the same time. Thank you again for caring.

If I recall correctly, he sent in just the tax return and W2s, which is sufficient for NVC. But, at the interview, they requested a tax transcript.

At the embassy, the CO can ask for whatever they want.

CASE COMPLETE!!!

We made it! No checklist! Thank you EVERYONE for all the help and the words of wisdom and love!

(FYI: I didn't have a lawyer, my husband has been deployed for pretty much all our journey, so he wasn't any help and English is not my first language, but I read and read and reread and asked questions when needed and I made it)

Good luck my friends

PS: As my signature states, our AOS fee changed to N/A on saturday, we called today and you know the rest!

Congrats again ;)

Thank God we found out about this now, especially me, before sending to NVC.

Now I just need to find out which 864 I need to file.

I earn W-2 Salary and 1099 (Commission) as I'm an Insurance Agent and Marketing Rep in the Agency and I play stocks on the side. I made Approx. 22-23K previous 2 years, and I'm going to get a Joint Sponsor who is my best friend earning more than 40K Salary Per year last 5 years and he's married with no kids. So I need to know what are the proper forms for us both.

Yeah, I'm very thankful I stumbled on that tidbit. For all we know it may have been a non issue but at least we are correcting it regardless.

Hi everyone

Just catching up on two days of posts.

Did my last assignment of my degree this weekend so will graduate in August. Have loved every minute of it.

Sad not to be with Andy on Fathers Day. The children Skyped him though as we do everyday.

Two weeks this Wednesday and we will be a family again just for a week. He is flying in from New York and us from Adelaide. All off to Whitsunday Islands for a weeks holiday.

It is our wedding anniversary this Friday 20th. 17 years so I may be a bit sad.

Looking forward to a big week of good news for everybody.

Love and friendship.

Xx

Awwww but you'll be together very soon don't be depressed then from here on no missed occasions and no more Skyping.

Happy Anniversary, celebrations in two weeks. :)  (F) (L)

Saylin,

Have there been cases where they just ask for Returns and W-2s / 1099s and no Transcripts.

Because I'm sending the amendment letter today to IRS but it might take a month for it to update there system and update; but I should have it before the interview date when ever that is.

Murf & Reggie have it correct. Noi means small and Chang means Elephant. Literally Baby Elephant.

The Baby Elephant is very popular in Thai Children's stories

It's possible, yes. But, I'd still highly suggest bringing the tax transcripts to the interview with you if you aren't sending it to NVC.
