I sent an e-mail to the Egyptian Embassy to have them check on a document their response to me what that NVC is the one who decides. Someone isn't telling the truth but who might that be? I have no clue. :(

Who approves or denies the visa? The NVC or the consular officer at interview? Think about this? I will grant that if the NVC doesnt think it will pass they ask for joint sponsors. But that's their job. They do not, however, have the final say in anything.

The embassy will also not look at anything for you until your interview.

NVC approves all documents that comes through their portal for review, prior to them being sent to the embassy. The embassy approves the valitily of the relationship, thru documents and conversation and interactions that are observed(if any) with the Beneficiary and Petitioner.

There are camera inside and outside of All US embassies.

The consular officer can also ask for a joint sponsor or more information regarding the AOS at interview. They also can ask for more re-establishment of domicile proof.

Of course all embassies and consulates have cameras. What on earth is the point of that comment?

The point of the statement was a clarification of my second statement, if you had taken the time to read rather than react you would have been able to put them together. Why is there a need to react on people's statements have truly left me puzzle on this board. A statement is a statement, you read it than move on.

No ones dies or gets convicted from anyone statements on this board, the knee jerk reactions are truly not necessary.

So it only relates completely to the interactions that may be observed between petitioner and beneficiary? As it was it's own paragraph, I did not want to ASSUME that it was related to the above statement, even though it seemed to be, so I asked. If you did not like the manner in which I ask, I apologize.

Speaking of knee jerk reactions. ;)

On a side note, I wholly disagree with you on the NVC approving any documentation. They simply make sure the documentation is correct and complete. Only the consular officer at the time of interview can make any final determination on if any and all documentation is approved or not by either approving, denying, or issuing a 221g at the time of interview. But since you'll likely disagree with me as well, let's agree to disagree on the term "approved by NVC"?

The forms that begin with DS are essentially the beneficiary's forms, so look at it from the Immigrant's point of view.

I understand, and only last thing they ask for Document and Document ID. I can use her passport correct in the DS-260?

I talked to Amanda (NVC agent). She was super nice! :)

She suggested that I send my IV package using the AOS cover sheet in order to get my package into the system ASAP. She told me that it wouldn't cause any problem if they end up opening my IV package before paying the IV fee. ^_^

I asked her to transfer the call to a supervisor just to double check this info. I talked to Octavio (Supervisor) and he told me the same thing. According to him, the bar code is almost the same for AOS and IV so nobody at NVC will get confused if I send my IV package with the AOS cover sheet.

However, he mentioned that I still have to fill out the DS-260 form, and the form won't be available until I pay the IV fee. So he was saying that I may not end up saving any time since they still have to review my DS-260 form and it takes 30 days. It can only benefit me if there is a good chance I'll receive a checklist on my IV package.

On the I-130 Facebook group, someone called NVC and asked the same question. An NVC agent told her not to do it because her documents might get lost. Another person called NVC and asked the same question too. She was told she could do it since she had waited for more than 3 weeks to pay the IV fee. We're getting different information from NVC on this issue.

Well, May (NVC agent) mentioned that some people were not getting the IV fee invoice because they filled out the DS-261 from too early. Maybe I'll get an IV invoice sooner since I waited to fill out the form until receiving the initial email from NVC? Fingers crossed! :star:

Thank you for the information!

Will you try to send IV package before paying IV fee?

Im now waiting for IV fee is ready to be paid but it seems to take few weeks recently right?

Plz let me know if you would send IV package before paying IV fee:)
