It has slowed down-- My docs scanned on 5/22nd.. any idea what day they are on?? I was hoping they were already PAST the 15th but obviously not.. Maybe today for you??

I just called. "there are documents from may 15th and June 9th, please allow 30 days.. blah blah blah". So i dont know if they got to May 15th documents yet. I'm going to call back tomorrow evening.

They seemed to be moving faster the last couple of weeks, but they've been working on the 13th-15th for the whole week

Please help me with his one . There is a question about the occupation . When we applied first I was working but quit my job cuz I couldn't comity to one year contract thinking I would be granted the visa sooner than it actually did so anyway on previous forms I did mention my employment but now I'm not so I don't know what should I write unemployed ? I know it's a stupid question but these forms make me nervous

Hey everyone!! Haven't been on here since yesterday morning. Been making travel arrangements and booking hotels. Also, started collecting all my documentation for the Portfolio my husband will take to the interview. We decided we'll take advantage of having to go to Paris for the interview to make it a mini 2 night- 3 day vacation.

Plus it's final exams at school and I'm swamped with grading and submitting grades. ANDDD the World Cup started, so need to watch those.

Going to catch up with all the posts now to see what has been going on.

We've been doing the same thing! We've decided to make a 3-day trip to Sydney. Our son lives there, so we're flying down early on a Sunday morning and spending the day with him, then we're going to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb on Monday, with our interview on Tuesday. We wrote the consulate yesterday (they do not allow phone calls) to get formal permission for me to attend the interview together.

We're rather giddy at this stage. I was on the 'net last night booking flights and a hotel....

We are doing the EXACT same thing, Sukie! We are going to make a whole week long trip out of it! We will leave the 14th or 15th of July for NSW and spend the week exploring Hunter's Valley and Sydney and then attend the interview on the 22nd!

I have put the question to the thread and other friends but they can't figure this out or have and I'm to blind to see it.

You told me that my father and I had to file the I-864 which we have and my mother the I-864a my problem is on part 5 Household size there isn't a place for a second sponsor. On my fathers form do I add myself to the I-864a #7 or do I add myself with #5 Other Dependant?

On my form do I add my father to #7 which is co-sponsor I-864a with my mother? Or am I totally wrong?

Alright, on your I-864, assuming you have no other dependents and such:

1. 1

2. 1

3-7. 0

8. 2

On your father's I-864, assuming it's just himself and his wife in the household and there's no dependents:

1. 1

2. 1

3. 1

4-7. 0

8. 3

Hi everyone,

I wanted to post what I found out here in case anyone is or will be in the same situation I am:

My situation: I received a case complete on June 9th but I still had a package to review that was not even scanned in until June 6th. It contains tax documents that I thought I would get check listed for so I sent them so as not to delay our case even further. Turns out, they did not check list us for anything.

So, my issue was, we also received our interview appointment only two days later for July 22nd. I was worried that they would not send our package to the embassy without reviewing that last package and our package would not arrive in time for our interview. I have heard varying things from people on VJ as well as NVC operators (shocking, I know) but I spoke to TWO people yesterday who assured me that if my remaining package is not reviewed by the time my main package is ready to be packed up and shipped to the embassy, they will simply send me back those remaining documents and ship my package without them.

Hope this helps someone else down the line!

Yes, there's four people involved, but not all in one household. YOUR household size is just two, yourself and your spouse. Then, your father's household is himself, his spouse, and the intending immigrant as he's sponsoring your husband. Hope that helps
