Well I received a happy anniversary (1st) email from NVC saying to pay my IV invoice AT LAST!!! woop.

Only problem is it's not available on ceac. My AOS was available the minute I got the email. Anyone else experienced a delay?

Normal to get that delay. Normally takes up to 5 days to be able to pay from the email.

It kind of make sense to already have the photocopy already in the package. Could you imagine them going back and forth to make copies of the forms, and then completing the packages? Things would never get done there!

I agree 100%!

I just got a 2nd checklist... more specifically, the SAME EXACT checklist I got last time, (May 9th) asking for a letter of employment for myself, and my co-sponsor's birth certificate that I forgot to send in the original AOS package. (oops!)

I UPS overnighted both of these off on May 12th and they were scanned into NVC's system on May 15th. Is this a false checklist or did they waste a month of my time reviewing nothing? Should I call them? The checklist email says "Do not submit your new Affidavit of Support to the NVC, as doing so will reopen your case and cause processing delays." But does not say anything about calling, I don't know if calling would cause issues. I don't know what to do. :(

Thank GOD they said my husband can bring the items to the interview but now I have to ask my boss for another letter of employment- which I really didn't want to do the first time around.

I would call, it sounds like they completed your case (is your IV approved)!

Reset from May 9 to May 31!? :wow: That's 23 days!? :wow: That really sucks! :(

I was looking for the IV invoice and clicked on the ds261 and could not get out of it without resubmitting it...so for those of you who don't know, DONT click on it after submitting it...what a waste of time...I am reading on here that the Ds 261 and the IV invoice are tied together but Alena from NVC told me they had nothing to do with each other...so I will continue to wait until my government decides they want let my husband of 6.5. Years in my country...so sad and discouraging....:(

It sure is alot of money !! I saw that post when I woke up this morning and almost had a heart attack.. My husband only has to pay $75.00 or at least that is what the instructions say. But $75 is alot of money in Costa Rica. I think the xray is additional. Not sure about the labs. That is why he went to his family doctor to get up to date on his vaccinations. Maybe Sukie's partner had to pay so much because she got more vaccinations at the appointment??? Not sure.. That is a huge amount of money for a medical

Julie had ALL her vaccinations and titers done before the medical. So the $475 is just for the exam, bloodwork and x-ray.

I cannot remember how much I had to pay in Hong Kong when I got my Australian residency - but I don't think it was over $300.

It's definitely a rip-off - especially since we have to pay over $30 for the train ticket to get to Brisbane!

Thanks for the info! I'm not going to click or touch the DS-261 form link!

If the DS-261 form and the IV fee are not tied together, resetting the DS-261 form shouldn't affect how fast you'll receive the IV fee invoice. I hope you get your IV fee invoice soon!
