Hey Austin Canada how long did it take for u receive the email from Nvc to fill ds261 after it was available online? I mean how many hours? :P I don't think I can hold it off any longer lol!!

I noticed that my DS-261 was available around noon last Wednesday. I received the email from NVC asking me to fill out the DS-261 form and pay the AOS fee around 2pm on Thursday. I filled out the form and paid the AOS fee that evening. I feel better doing it after the email just in case considering many people are having problems with the DS-261 form.

Of course, you can wait for 1-3 days. I mean you waited for a long time to get your NOA2 so you know how to be patient, eh? :content:

I don't think waiting for 1-3 days makes any difference. I sometimes wonder why some people here are panicking and don't want to even wait for 1-3 days.

I am starting to think that maybe they've got July and August booked already. Is anyone willing to call them to ask them how long they plan on taking? I wouldn't mind shooting them an email and asking them if they are still scheduling interviews for July or August since NVC hasn't scheduled yet and according to them it is due to unavailability.

Don't talk like that! Don't take August away from me! :-P

It's getting really depressing in here.

It really is. I'm so over this process :/

Just called NVC, got case complete today! So happy. Thank you for all who contributed in this forum which helped me get through this process without any checklist. Good luck to all! By the way aos fee never changed to n/a for me...

YEA!!!! CONGRATS TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D Thank you for the AOS info, too!

CCs really brighten up the place, too!!

My AOS hasn't changed and I'm just worried about a checklist since I mailed them together. I'll try to call tonight. My husband goes back on Thursday, I'd love a CC before he leaves.

They have at least started on the 13th. I hope you don't get a check list!

That would be perfect to be together when you receive the almighty CC!! My husband was here when we got the I-130 approval and that was awesome!

I called the King County (Seattle) Marriage License department. According to them, my marriage certificate (certified copy) is the only one I can get. :)

I was concerned about it since it's hand-written at some sections. Well, you can't actually "type" my signature, my partner's signature, witnesses' signatures, and the judge's signature so I assume it's good enough. Well, they typed my name and my partner's name at least, and it comes with a State File Number and a certified seal. :star:
