when i got a certified copy of my marriage certificate, the registrar did the same thing as the original... except he wrote "true copy, date, signature" in pen

Looks like that's the way to go. My notary and true copy stamp isn't from the registrar so that's why the rep told me it wont work.

From the check it says, pay to____

You have to make the payment from a bank account that is located within the U.S. If you don't have your account number or routing number, you can always look online or call the bank directly. The payment is all done online. There is no check to send in or anywhere to put who it is paid to. :)

Well after calling exactly 90 times (gotta love the call count on iPhone lol) and then waiting on hold for 40 minutes I found out our case was received at NVC on June 2nd. So how long should I wait until I start calling for our case number? Or will the email I sent cover that part for us?

Well, I'm blind didn't see it, thank you for being so kind. :)

Does anyone know how to save the forms so if we get a checklist we don't have to fill it out again. The BullZip suggested is full of malware. :(

We saved the forms into a pdf simply by scanning them after they were completed and signed. If you get a checklist, then you could print it out and only have to redo the pages that had 'corrections' required, and of course the signature/date page.

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

OMG, so relieved! After I posted my checklist response on Saturday, I realised I had made a mistake! The post office was closed until today (Tues in Australia) I called them first thing this morning and my documents had not left yet, so they held them for me and I ran down and did a switcheroo with my paperwork. So now I hopefully won't get a 2nd checklist!!! :dancing:

Now back to waiting....... :clock:

start having a look at people's signatures to get a better idea, but I'd say give it a couple weeks before you call NVC.

When i started the NVC process, i saw nvc taking 2 weeks to review checklists. Now it seems like a whole damn month. This is too damn painful. :ranting::ranting:

Damn i officially dislike nvc more than uscis

Nvc is like your so close you could smell it but then they just pull you right back

Just for a checklist thats another month of waiting when clearly it states it should take 20 days to review your documents

Don't get me started on the fact that they send us checklist cover sheets with the statement, "please allow up to 20 business days...."

Every time I mentioned it to someone they would try to distract me with something else lol.
