Quick question: What is I-864 Package?

I'm filling out my timeline and noticed this. Is this the email "package" I received from NVC asking me to fill out the DS-261 form and pay the AOS fee?

Did you re-submit the DS-261 form? In other words, did you fill out the DS-261 form twice?

Nop they even sent a confirmation email saying it has been submitted on such date and exact time . I guess my hubby has to enjoy his evening with their on hold music this evening *sigh*

It's supposed to be linked to the DS-261 though, not the AOS package. When did you submit your DS-261?

Oh, and congratulations. I'm constantly checking CEAC to see if I can pay my IV fee

if its the case then i submitted the DS-261 on may 13.....i have updated my timeline.....

Ah, I was all excited, lol. My DS-261 was submitted May 19th, resubmitted May 21st and "received" May 22nd. AOS was sent May 22nd, received/scanned May 27th. Nothing to do but wait some more I guess

Hey guys, any advice on this?

So two weeks ago I realized that I forgot to include a schedule with my 1040 in my AoS package. After asking 100 people PLUS TWO NVC officers, I decided to send it in instead of waiting for a checklist. The two ladies I spoke to at NVC said, "it be better to have it waiting there then to wait for a checklist, at least we will have it"

Well, I called at 7:00A USA time and spoke to Waldo and he informed me that even if I got a case complete on my AOS and IV packages that were received on May 15th, they would not CC me until they reviewed the package that was received on June 6th. That is NOT was I was told before...

Anyways, when I just checked on the portal my AoS fee shows as N/A which it did not yesterday.

Could this mean a check list and not a case complete? Has anyone seen an N/A without a checklist?

I'm currently choosing an agent. I live abroad with my husband and the site recommends having an agent that lives in the US. Should I use my mother as an agent or would it be fine if I assign myself with my foreign address.

Hey...I am living abroad with my spouse as well and I filled it out, using my US address for the first address they ask for (for correspondences) and then my Mexican address when they asked for my address.

Did i have to wait for nvc to sent me -- email or mail -- to complete ds261 or check online to know if it available

Koko I'm not sure not there yet but I think if you go to the site and sign in with your Case and invoice number it will show as ready to fill out but I'm not really sure. I hope someone comes by to answer your question better than I can.

Just the AOS would change to N/A. I think you might want to give NVC another jingle! Others who have seen their AOS change it meant case complete....!!!

Yeah, I had to go back and look in my history and I definitely answered this question about 3 hours ago. The question was definitely asked in post #2256 and I answered it in post #2267.
