Isn't it all done online now? I thought it was done by the passport office now. For my in-laws (in Ahmedabad) they filled out application using the website below.

http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/online/pccOnlineApp

Made an appointment for the local passport office, submitted the documents. It took them three days to receive a text from PCC office that their PCC is ready for pick up. I think it is the same process through out the country now.

the passport clearance is done online and we did set up an appointment online but appointment itself was a month n half out :-/ too many people there i guess...i have heard it is much quicker in other places like Punjab...

for the PCC my husband went to local police station and is in the process of trying to get

i hope we are doing this correctly... Anyone else from Mumbai had these issues??

I sent EP enrollment on 5/15, nothing and still nothing after all..

I submitted 261 twice. one on 5/20, one on 5/31. Idk if you had same problem, it was incomplete after few days and had to resubmit 261 on may 31st. called in June 4th, they said they got my 261 on June 2...

have to wait 30 days from june 2 to get IV invoice.... :ranting:

In my case I have submitted it on May 14th and resubmitted accidentally on 22nd may and then called to NVC for IV fee, they said the process of DS 261 Acceptance will take max of 30 business days. So we have to wait for 30 Days at max .... If that number cross we would initialize supervisor call for reviewing our case...

So let's start waiting .. I'm Waiting from 3 weeks.. no invoice for IV.. :clock: Please any one who have faced this type of delay or scenarios please note here..

All the best.

i know, IV invoice is such a drag.......idk why they can't just let us pay the fee and send the docs all at the same time, so they can review both AOS and IV together... I think that will save both their and our time..

Let's hope for the best. 30 days means i have to wait till July 2nd =( sigh... :protest:

Good luck to everyone... :luv:

I dont care if I have to wait 30days for CC after submitting papers. I just want to submit my IV, and get done with the paper work! The stress of receiving a checklist is WORST! I HATE paperwork!!!

Doesn't seem to be the case. Each piece of mail goes into the same queue to be reviewed, whether it's a new package or a checklist response.

Happy Monday Everyone! Let the CC's begin!

So here is a very scary scenario. My wife sent me a text this morning saying she just received an official US letter at her home address in Lima. I asked her to scan it and email it to me asap. The letter is from NVC, giving her case number, IIN, BIN and asking her to go to CEAC and complete the DS-261. The letter is dated March 18, 2014!!

I started laughing but then I thought of all those people not on VJ, who do not know any better and just follow NVC's instructions to the letter. I cannot imagine my wife and I just starting the NVC process today because we had to wait for this letter to arrive.

NVC had a period of backlog back in March or so, cranked out a bunch of overtime to catch up, and things were really good for a little while. That's when review times were around 2 weeks. Someone who's watching the spreadsheet a little more closely can correct me if I'm wrong but based on my look last week it seems to be taking more like 3 weeks for review right now. They admit to being backlogged again and say they're working OT, so hopefully they'll get things under control again soon.

16-17 business days seems to be the average from what I'm seeing on this thread. Memorial Day caused a bit of a hiccup, too. Last Saturday and this past Saturday it looks like they were working. Desperately waiting for a CC (and unrealistically hoping for a July interview LOL)!
