I had a lovely Sunday. I slept in, went on a 5k run with my esposo, had a big bowl of grits for breakfast (I'm southern and I brought grits to CR because I love them!), tanned out on my small patio, then took a long nap while it rained.

Kept my mind of the interview date until... now. ;)

I hope it is as well for you bdrew. I will be watching closely.

We have a public holiday here in Oz today so I am doing some dressmaking with my daughter. She is making Pyjamas!

I'm well here, I have to get a new water heater tomorrow, apparently my house didn't get the memo that my funds are needed elsewhere!

I sure hope your IV is ready soon, I can only imagine how excruciating this has been for you. I'm glad to hear you're keeping yourself occupied. Making pyjamas?! That sounds like fun! Does she have a pattern picked out? :-)

How to know that my spouse does not need a joint sponsor

Hi Koko, this is the link you will have to ask her how much she makes a year and how many total including you will be living once in the USA.

So let's say it's just you and your wife then the total will be two if she has let's say one child then look at the guide that say 3 and make sure you look under for all other sponsors which is a higher amount. Maybe you should send this link to her e-mail have her check it out. :) Good luck. (F)(L)(F)http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf

WHAT?!?! I don't know that we can be friends anymore...

I make my grits with butter, sour cream, chives, corn and cheese (today was cheddar, but usually I throw in parmesan). Then top it with a fried egg and salsa-- YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! (now I'm making myself hungry again!!)

LMAO! People think I'm weird for not liking grits! I tried, I just have no taste for soggy food lol

Now biscuits & gravy?! Yeeeaaa!!

Funny story, the first time I told my husband about biscuits & gravy he hought I was nuts as biscuits are cookies in England (and he imagined the gravy as brown) LOL

Oh yes, we bought the pattern and fabric a couple weeks ago and cut it all out. Now to sew. I think it is a good skill to give our daughters to sew and sons come to think of it. She is threading the machine at the moment.

On 3rd July hubby is flying in from New York to Sydney. We are flying to Sydney from Adelaide, meeting at the terminal and then all flying up to Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday Islands off Queensland to lounge by a pool for a week and drink margaritas. Well mum and dad anyway. Then hubby goes back to NY, we come back to Adelaide and back to this wonderful visa journey. Hopefully by then our IV package will be received and we can get this show on the road.

Not sure if anyone has done this before or mentioned it but I sent all my document to the Embassy in Egypt one document per e-mail with our information all they need is that it's for an immigrant spousal visa and your good to go. I attached back and front of all documents to the e-mail and asked them if it was the correct document they are asking for and they replied to each in two days with a positive for all of them, just waiting on the Military one. So this might be a good idea to do and I will be attaching the e-mail with each respective document. How can they tell me it's the wrong one if the Embassy says it's the right one. :D:yes: (F) (L) (F)

Excellent idea. Should reduce checklist risk, though not eliminate it altogether. For example, NVC insists on translations when DOS states that documents in official languages of post-hosting countries are acceptable as is.

I'm well here, I have to get a new water heater tomorrow, apparently my house didn't get the memo that my funds are needed elsewhere!

Always look at the bright side, as it could've been worse. In Jan 2013, the 18-year old furnace died on me, got someone who happened to be a county inspector to check it, managed to turn it on, tested positive high level of CO, then immediately turned it off and disconnected its cable: "Sorry sir but I have to condemn this furnace!" It reached 5F that night. Had to turn on 3 space heaters, the fireplace and an open door oven. I also had to wake up every two hours to run the water through all taps.

21-MAR-2014 I-140 + PP sent to USCIS

31-MAR-2014 Petition approved

16-APR-2014 Case shipped to NVC

29-APR-2014 Case received by NVC

23-MAY-2014 Case # assigned

4-JUN-2014 IV Bill invoiced and PAID (AOS Exempt, DS-261 Waived)

6-JUN-2014 DS-260 forms submitted

10-JUN-2014 IV Docs received by NVC

13-JUN-2014 IV Docs matched to case (scanned)

30-JUL-2014 Case Complete, CC email auto-sent one week later

20-AUG-2014 AOS fee changed to N/A (Final clearance for interview scheduling?)

29-AUG-2014 Consular Interview scheduled on Oct 1st. Later rescheduled to Sep 24th. P4 Letter received following business day

14-SEP-2014 CEAC status changed to Ready

15-SEP-2014 Medical results delivered to Embassy by Panel Physician

24-SEP-2014 Consular Interview, went into AP (3rd AP in as many consecutive visa applications)

14-OCT-2014 Visa issued

22-OCT-2014 POE at Dulles Airport, Washington, D.C.

Oh my! My furnace is exactly 20 years old, and I'm shocked it's still kicking. I know that's on the list of things to buy this year. At least hubby will be here to help when that does go!

Thank you and just to make sure we had everything translated and used one of the places on the Embassy list. :D Trying my best not to make this longer. :D
