Which group did you leave? I-130 Facebook group or USC Green Card Facebook group? :huh2:

You were an excellent contributor so you will be missed. :(

Drama? Maybe I missed something, but I don't think I read anything like that though (unless I was the drama)?

I'm still in the USC group! Thank you for that compliment :-)

It really isn't worth re-typing and I'm assuming the post was removed. Anyway, it wasn't anything major, but it was enough to annoy me lol

I'm still here, too!!

I've read people rushing to mail their AOS and IV packages and forgetting to include important documents or not spotting mistakes in their applications. We all know what that leads to! Checklist! And we all know what that means! Delaying the process for 1 month!

I've decided not to mail my AOS and IV packages ASAP. I'm giving myself at least a day to double check my packages. I don't think delaying for a day or two is going to make much difference. -_-

You are right. If you are doing EP then check every PDF file for password protection. We attached job letter fro petitioner without realizing this. Also, our petitioner filled 'Adjusted Gross Income' in the column 13.a.1 instead of 'total income'. None of us knew of these minor errors. We checked the documents several times but did not find any error. We were checklisted and this delayed the process by almost two months. NVC could have ignored this and ask us to bring a corrected version at interview as these were not big errors but they don't care. They don't think about us as human beings. We are just a case number for them.

I can't imagine you being the drama, Austin! I'm not in any of the Facebook groups, as our employments might be terminated if people knew we were applying to move to the US. It's probably for the best... I can't imagine how I'd get any work done at all if I had other immigration related websites to spend time on!

Yes! Someone finally thinks I'm not the biggest drama queen! Tell that to my partner!

Thanks for this.. update us re your case.. mine too.. :)

My in-laws' documents were scanned on May 13th as well. I was able to speak to an agent last night after holding for about 80 minutes. He did not know what date they are working on ( but told me that based on calls he had taken, he had seen approval for dates ranging from 8th-13th) but my in-laws' documents have not been reviewed yet. We should hear something by next week. He told me that checklist will be created if/when they review the documents.

I've tried Google Voice multiple times, even for an entire day one time (100s of attempts) and could never get through to NVC. It always just hung up and said it was busy. I wish it would work because it would be free!

But every time I switched over to Skype, within 20-40 attempts I always got through.

Maybe it has to do with internet speed (it's not so good where I live)? not sure, but gmail unfortunately doesn't work for me either.

Good luck! :goofy:

Use an autodialer for iphone or android while you are doing another thing. It works.

I posted the link a week ago.

Did they have a problem with the 2012 taxes or just the 2013 one?

sorry for all the questions, my 2012 taxes are "single" and I haven't filed 2013 yet (asked for extension)

Were you already married in 2012? In 2013 definitely should be married. They just asked my husband to write a letter explaining why he filed single in 2013 and we were already married. But he fixed it already and he will send me the docs and the letter with his signature and notarized.

Yes, the Facebook group and this site is simply too much! Especially when it's the same information getting passed back & forth. It's too easy for wires to get crossed!

I agree 100% with nightingalejules! You're not a drama queen at all! In fact, I'd say you're one of the more rational minded people in this group!

I agree with you all. I look at this thread all the time and do comment and quote from time to time but I am so busy being a 'single mum' at the moment. My son swims four mornings a week at 4.30 am so I go to bed at 8.00 pm. Both children in school, years 9 and 7, work three days a week and keeping up with VJ is about it for me.

If I don't comment on your thread it isn't because I am not reading it or feel compassionate. This whole journey is just one big obsession and hopefully it will be over very soon for all of us.

Have a lovely Sunday. Xxx

3 days after interview and I am just now checking in.

First off, thank you to everyone who has congratulated my husband and me, and second, congratulations to all those case completes and those who have recieved interview dates.

Interview review:

We arrived in Ciudad Juarez on Sunday around 6pm. On Monday my husband left for his medical around 5am. (No appointment, you can just show up.) I waited for him at our hotel because of our 8 month old. He got back around 7:20am.

We went back at 2pm and picked up his results. On Tuesday his ASC appointment was at 7:20am. He left around 6:50 and was back around 7:20, so it was pretty fast.

Wednesday he left for his interview at 8:45. (9:15am interview) We waited for him at a nearby Denny's for breakfast. At 11:30 he got there with an APPROVAL!

Note: I made a folder for him with everything we submitted to NVC and a couple more things, and he was asked for the ONE thing he didn't take: MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE. But the officer told him not to worry about it and told him he was approved.

Next day during lunch around 2pm, his passport was at the DHL ready for pickup. We went to the border for port of entry, crossed over to Texas, and by 5am Friday morning we were in Houston.

Having my husband here feels like a dream. Thank you to everyone who helped along the way even if just to say they understood how I was feeling. Hang in there guys! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. :)

Congrats, so glad you are united with your hubby. I wish you all the best in life.

Yes all beneficiaries needs to submit Police clearance Certificate for all the countries they have stayed.

Is that only if you have lived for 12 months or more. Plus some countries don't issue anymore like Singapore for example. They only issue to Singapore Citizens.

I lived in Hong Kong for 11 months and Singapore for 15 but cannot get police clearances without NVC checklist. I am thinking I may not even get check listed for them anyway. Can always hope!

Ok asking a favor please, you know sometimes we just can't think because of this process and we are so scared we have to ask question that might be answered in the Wiki but it just doesn't register. We are all different and for one I know I'll suck at the I-864.

So please answer this question for Njordan and God will reward you. I think this is the question below.

"Filed taxes as single, but had no idea that we could file MFS AND PUT NRA. I just read on this website. What should I do? If I had to amend it when can I ? Should I just wait til next year when wife comes and has SSN ? Should I do it before her interview? If she's asked should she just
