Quick question! :huh2:

On the I-864 form Part 7. Use of Assets to Supplement Income, we're putting the dollar amount of our real estate for the question 2 "Enter the net cash value of real-estate holdings. (Net means current assessed value minus mortgage debt)".

Although we have money in our checking and savings accounts, we are not providing any information because our real estate value is more than enough. In this case, do I put "N/A" or "$0" for the question 1 "Enter the balance of all savings and checking accounts" and other questions? :help:

We are in the same boat as you, our real estate will be more than enough. Just the same, I'm going to include the value of our checking and savings accounts, along with a current statement, just because I figure it is better to have more than enough info. If you aren't using them, I would think either n/a or $0 would both be fine.

With real estate, are you getting an assessment done by a licensed appraiser, or just using tax value on the property?

I -think- it doesn't matter. They correspond via e-mail rather than snail mail. The DS261 is an outdated form. My wife didn't put her US address. She just listed the abroad one. Hope this helps a bit. :)
