I always thought you spoke French! now, I'm disappointed!!!!!!!!!!:rofl::rofl:

I know some French, I'm just not anywhere close to being fluent. Sorry to disappoint :P My mother tongue is English.

I'll stay around and teach you! ;-)

Yay! I think my problem was that the only time I spoke French was at school, and barely then. I'd only speak French if a teacher directly asked me a question or if I had to give an oral presentation. That was it. As a kid, my parents did all the talking at restaurants. When I got older and had to speak on my own, I'd just speak English first and hope for the best  If they didn't, then I proceeded to broken French.

Yours should be available VERY soon!! I would start checking today. It might be another day or two. :)

Wow! I would double check and make sure your case number and IIN are being correctly entered. Your DS-261 should definitely be available soon.

i'll call tonight to NVC for check the IIN, but someone said me the error is why pd (feb - 2014) is not soon become current, this situation is very frustrating for me

based on your posts

they are working on 12/13th, NOT 15th!!!

No need to yell. People are saying 15th, because someone last night with that date received correspondence. Not to mention...this is not an exact science.

We just completed our DS-261, after waiting 8 days since receiving our case number! When logging in to the payment portal, we get the error message that the case is in process of termination, so hopefully our AOS fee will be invoiced soon!! :) :)

You'll probably receive an email from NVC tomorrow asking you to fill out the DS-261 form and pay the AOS fee.

I could have filled out the DS-261 form earlier, but I waited until I received the email from NVC just to make sure I didn't fill out the form too soon since some people reported that they had to fill out the form twice. Just playing on the safe side. :star:

we both have GUZ and EP.. I paid AOS on 20th, and emailed AOS package on 21st. I called in 6/3. the operator said they did not have access to the EP... but the NVC itself will review the case once they get the email for EP, they will change GUZ to GZO for EP only and it will not affect the doc you sent, they will carryover the docs under the new case #, IDK if thats true or not.

Also they said now they don't respond to Enroll emails anymore, so we can send docs right after the invoices are paid. 30 days period for each transaction. =( :sleepy:

Thank you for the response. but i did wait for the GUZ number to change to GZO numbers (31) days so there is nothing for them to change for me. i would just like to know, if anyone knows, if they open them up faster or if this is now a 30 day 30 day 30 day cycle.

I'm sure it will be okay. I bet their automated emails are a little behind (not very surprising). :)

Lol I was thinking that while waiting at the interview I will definitely look around to see if there are some VJ members! I will be the weirdo staring at people in the waiting area!

I'll be more certainly checking on you all and see who's getting my interview date and for sure I'll be trying to find you :)

not yelling just saying.

I'm thinking they pull batches of files and divide them up between officers (an unknown amount of officers with an unknown amount of files). Some officers work faster than others. This could likely be the reason for the date discrepancy.

As I've been typing all week, when people call, they can try to find out what date they're working on. Granted, we'll get a range of dates from the various people who call, because they're probably working on a range of dates. And, some Agents lie. Someone whose signature states their IV was scanned in on the 15th found out last night that they are getting a check list. So, they're probably working on the 13th-15th, which sounds reasonable. But, this is all conjecture.

I don't understand why anyone would leave California specially Norther Ca. (F) (L) (F)

We lived in San Francisco for 10 years, but we thought it was too expensive to buy a house there.

I think that's the main reason why people leave California because it's too expensive unless you and your partner both work and have good jobs. :(

Oh I love San Francisco beautiful and amazing city love the temperatures there. No I had to come back to take care of my parents who are ill. I wanted to come back with my husband but it didn't work out that way. We have been apart a year this May so doing this all alone without his emotional support.

And here I was all worried about learning French in time for our trip to Montreal... or at least having a good translation app... good to know I'll be able to get by with just English

VENTTT VENNTT AWAY!!!!! I'm pissed too. I've told my husband, sometimes I'm tempted to divorce him and bring him as a boyfriend, because even the fiance visas are getting approved quick. BUUUTTT with my luck by the time i do that, we'd probably get the interview date right away. When was your case complete?
