WOW :wow: WOW :wow: WOW, I hope everyone who calls the NVC gets a chance to speak with Todd. What an amazing Operator. SUPER helpful and he took the time to listen and look at my case. When I told him how rude Joy and Arthur were to me he just laughed out loud. I guess he was sort of agreeing without actually saying it !!

SO, oddly enough, I explained what happened with the email I received with the someone else's personal information... he stated the same thing happened to another caller last week. He thought it was me but I never had the pleasure of speaking with Todd before. He looked back in the phone logs and confirmed that he NEVER spoke to me before. Kinda makes me wonder who is responding to the emails.. #######???

He said San Jose is not a common embassy. I am like one of two calls he has taken for that embassy in a long while....and that I should have no problem getting an interview!! YAY !

Also confirmed that interviews are scheduled electronically. There isn't one person who sits there and schedules each one individually.. I was joking with him and told him to go give the scheduler $5 from me. He said that department is in another building... ......and guys... Todd can take a joke.. Such a nice guy !

So my status is STILL WAITING !!!!! but at least I had a really good experience with the operator this morning.

I'm probably the other one  I'm pretty sure I've spoken to Todd before.

Anyways, psyched to hear another good news about hopefully a July interview for us!!! :dancing:

Not to mention the 2012 bit. They're working on files from 2 years ago? :jest:

If I may ask a stupid question, but are people in the F2A category on a different time frame?

I'm assuming the 2012 is either a typo or a naughty Agent giving bad info!

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

As far as I know, for F2A visas, NVC still processes their cases in normal time frames, along with everyone else. But, once the case is completed and in line for an interview date to be scheduled, that's when those applicants have to wait until their priority date is current before an interview date can be assigned.

You are 100% correct.

Went through this when my brother (LPR) applied for his wife.

ME TOOOOOOOO and yes... you probably are the only other CR file. What a small world since we are both on VJ...

If we get interviews on the same day, I'll buy a round of shots for you and your hubby afterwards !!

Do you think our husbands can get thier medicals done while we wait for an interview date? I wonder how long the medical is good for?

The Doctor, lab and the radiology place are all right near each other. Pretty much right across the street from each other. If my husband could just make the appts I would feel like we are moving along here. He is on the edge of his seat ! Since he works on the farm, he can go whenever. He can get the police cert right before the interview since they said it doesn't have to be translated.

The instructions say you need the interview letter for the appt. I wonder if that is really true. Have you called the doctors to ask ? I would call except my spanish is only caveman talk... they would laugh and hang up..

This has probably been talked about but I was wondering when they do the security checks. I thought that the uscis stage was for background checks for both people and that NVC was more to collect the necessities. I just don't get why ap exists if they already did the background checks...

Do you mean 13th? The 3rd was a Saturday, so they don't have packages from that date.

Anyway, my AOS was scanned in on the 7th of May and that was approved on the 2nd of June.

No, I mean the 3rd. It is a mystery :) I don't even understand why they bother answering a phone and give us information that we know is incorrect.

they pulled that line on me when I was sending letters everyday towards the end. Of course the security checks take you out of the queue and the normal processing timeline no longer applies.

My take on that whole thing is.... My file sat in a dusty corner from April12, 2013 until February 2014 when they decided to pick it up and work on it. Then I was approved on March 18th 2014. Its just another way for them to push you aside but make themselves look good. 11 months I will never get back. and now they are approving files in 5 months ... sometimes less. Makes me sick. and the February 2014 filers are starting to get approved... and those are the people who complain about the long processing times... PUUHHHHLEASSSSSSEEEEEEEE

And I'll buy the second round!!! The Kabana is right down the street and they have great curly fries! ;)

I was told you have to wait for an interview letter to do the medical. I'm pretty sure that's the case for most countries as well.

The police cert you DO NOT need a letter to get. We already got one for my husband, sent it in with the IV packet and everything. (just realized he'll have to get another one though, our three months will be up July 9) He can go ahead and get the police record now, it's good for 90 days even though NVC tells you it's only good for 30.

Call the embassy- they speak English!! You can pick to speak to someone in English, sometimes they still answer in Spanish but just start speaking English and they'll switch. :)

I am in similar stress and uncertainty as well. We were put into extended review at I-130 which took a long time, like never ending. You can't imagine how much I had to work on my case, talked talk to lawyers, considered sue options, wrote to USCIS every month, to ombudsman, asked one state senator to help but no reply than asked my community leaders to help than asked my local congressman who was thankfully was willing to help, even when that took a month, I even wrote to President obama and strangely my case was approved 2 days after that but I am thinking realistically it was my congressmen help that was crucial.

Now I am worried about the interview, it will destroy me if they put us again in additional processing. My wife is a doctor, she is from good and well to do family, both her parents and sibling has US visit visa. I am just hoping it goes well from here.

I wish you the best, none of this is easy and at times I wonder at the system some people fly though this really fast and others have no luck.

AMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. You don't know how fustrated I get. I've been doing this since March 13,2013 and the same garbage. They know about the backlog, we should all get some preference. Maybe first class flights to the interviews lol I swear if it wasn't for VJ, I probably would've given up a lonnnnggg time ago thinking that I was a unique case.
