I'm so excited to finally join the NVC thread we filed in July 2013, and just got our NOA2 on May 29th. Just glad to know this part is a shorter wait lol

I'm not doing electronic processing since it takes longer. FedEx will be my best friend.

No sorry, he is British working in UAE. His interview will be done there someday but after a year of waiting, I'm losing hope. Will you be interviewing there?

Really?? It takes longer?? I was leaning towards electronic processing for not having to mail away precious originals, and also to save money on postage costs. I know Canada is one of the few countries that even gets a choice. How much longer does it take?

Yes, electronic processing has some advantages like saving postage costs and not having to mail the original documents.

Well, I thought I'd be able to send off the AOS documents today but hubby's mom didn't get around to writing a letter saying that we will be living with her when we arrive in the US. But I renamed and organized all the document scans, and they're already saved in emails, ready for that one more attachment, and then off they go!

I also got my new Police Certificate from the BC Commissionaires... I wish I'd known that the one I paid (almost twice as much) for from the Vancouver Police Department just gives a stamped copy of the request form - and they whited out some stuff... nothing important, but it makes the form look all that much more questionable. I figured if I were an NVC officer, I wouldn't accept it, so I just popped for the extra $40(ish) to get the certificate I know they're looking for. I'll probably submit them both, if I ever get to pay the IV fee and send the documents in!!!

Nvc received our package last may 30, but until now it's not yet scanned in their system, is that normal?

you're not a first person with this problem and it's not normal. my package was scanned day after the delivery.

i think that they are trying to control the flow but it's not solving the problem. they need more people to go through all the visa apps.

I went to the Burnaby RCMP and paid $60 for my police certificate. I was like "$60 for a piece of yellow paper that has little info on it"!?

I check the I-130 Facebook group everyday. The current record holder has been waiting for 28 days to pay the IV fee. The previous record holder got to pay her IV fee after 27 days. I hope I don't become a new record holder!

Yeah, apparently Burnaby gives you the right one. But Vancouver doesn't. And if you're going to the police station, you have to go to the one in the city you live in. Instead, I wound up going to the BC Commissionaires (in Surrey, actually, because I was teaching there that day.) The VPD charged me $70 for the WRONG FORM! Jerks.
