Interesting. My ds260 didn't ask for the Beneficiary ID# either, and I filled it the same day as your husband xD

You sure he needed it?

Who knows, maybe this is something that also changes depending on the applicant. (like the employment and education part xD)

I just clarified with my husband, he was confusing the BIN with the IIN he needed to log in. He didn't need it for the DS-260! Oooooopsie lol

If I select Kuwait, I probably will get a checklist for not providing an official military record from Kuwait where none exists. Answering "Yes" only triggers on fields for rank, service and from/to dates. No text field for explanations.

Regarding the BIN, I only tried my form. I haven't started yet my wife or kids' forms.

Hmm... I hope someone here is able to give you an answer!

There are several people who are waiting on Paris, France interviews since early May. (I was looking at Dwheels spreadsheet in the interview thread) This doesn't make me hopeful for July at all. :cry: I hope people are checking back and letting us know that they have interview dates. It sure does help the rest of us.

Hi,

At least for us, mid May case complete, no interview scheduled yet... I would love "to check in and let you know good news".... unfortunately it seems like the Paris Embassy has decided to take a few extra holidays-day off. Nobody seems to have been scheduled for July so far. So depressing...

Any info about what is going on?

I would say your evidence leans towards his move being temporary if he never even changed to a Canadian license at all... how long has he been in Canada? (keep in mind I'm not an expert either, just figuring things out)

There is a cover letter somewhere on VJ... I'll have to find a link to it... somebody put together a list of all the different types of things to include regarding domicile

That would be me, and it's in the wiki ;)

I am devasted... I'm glad for everyone else that has gotten their case complete... but this is ridiculous... I called nvc yesterday. and they have two packets and according to the rep, yvette, the one that they received on May12, was a checklist, which was added to the case, and the packet from May 16, still is under the review. so I guess the police clearance that they signed for on May 9, wasn't scanned into their system till May16.. .so Saylin or anyone,. when will we get the case complete?

I've spoken to Yvette twice. She's the one who delivered my Case Complete news. The way it's looking, I would say late next week you'll get your CC.

I know how hard it is. Especially seeing everyone get CCs and packages looked at and you're still waiting. But it'll come soon. And then you'll start stressing about the stupid interview date lol. Everything feels like it takes forever in this process (and it does!!), but you're almost there.

He's been here for 3 years.

This is from travel.state.gov:

How can a petitioner establish a domicile?

When a sponsor has clearly not maintained a domicile in the United States, he/she must re-establish a U.S. domicile to be a sponsor. The aspiring sponsor may take steps, including the examples given below, to show that the United States is his/her principal place of residence

  • Find employment in the United States
  • Secure a residence in the United States
  • Register children in U.S. schools
  • Relinquish residence abroad
  • Other evidence of a U.S. residence

If the sponsor establishes U.S. domicile, it is not necessary for the sponsor to go to the United States before the sponsored family members. However, the sponsor must return to the United States to live before the sponsored immigrant may enter the United States. The sponsored immigrant must enter the U.S. with or after the sponsor.

The cover letter I remembered reading is on Saylin's wiki... LOL I've been reading so many things it's getting tough to remember what I read where!

I am beyond frustrated! Still no sign of an interview date since the 8th of May! Just called and got the usual "30 business days" gist.

Anyway, my question is this fellow filers: do I need my full medical history or just my vaccination record from my GP?

Thanks!

Just spoke with Ivette these were her answers:

- No interview yet;

- They are still scheduling;

- The schedule only depends on the slots each embassy has for Visas Interviews;

- No time prediction (no month mention)

- An e-mail will be send with the date and time of the interview.

Basically the usual, except that she was being cautious about not letting a month estimate come out.

I guess it will be the waiting game for the Paris Embassy goers. :clock:

Ugh....more waiting. Yvette seems popular lately. I've spoken to her twice, 2 people have spoken to her today lol.

Anyone else awaiting on Paris for an interview?? The more not the merrier lol because someone will be left behind in the scheduling if there aren't enough slots. I think I was the last CC for Paris. Soooo.... That would probably be me. Fab...

What the heck?!?!?!? Why are they taking so long? They don't even issue "that many" visas according to the number I saw online. According to my math (I suck at math btw) they should at least have 4-5 interviews a day. Can't they squeeze us in for July? Give us all the same day. We can hang while we wait lol.

I wish I could call and be all like, "Bonjour.... le retard.... je n'aime pas!!" Three years of high school French and all of hubby's dad's side of the family speaks French and that's all I got for ya.

Still waiting for my aos to be reviewed from may 9th spoke to abby this morning just told me i have to wait for it to be reviewed!!!!!

Me too. I spoke to Jean? last night who said someone was "in my file" and she couldn't get it, which meant it as being reviewed (AOS received May 9th). This morning I called again hoping they had finished review and I spoke to a grumpy Fiona who said, "you need to wait a FULL 30 days for review Ma'am!" Boo hoo :crying:
