I have a question for you all who interviewed already. When you received interview letter by mail as well as got any email notice place n time also or not ?

Becoz im waiting for interview letter but next 5 days i visit my sis another state, that y i dont know i can check email to know time or place interview by email or not ? Well, if i can not back home soon i can print email out to replace interview letter or not, im wondering.

The email won't state the time and place. It is just the basic email indicating a change in your online status. The letter will indicate where, when and what date your Oath Ceremony is scheduled for. Depending on the office, you might only get a week notice or they may even call a few days in advance to tell your when your ceremony is scheduled.

i dont interview yet, im waiting for interview letter, so i just ask about time & place for interview. I dont know they will send both interview letter and email to notice time, place or just letter by mail.

If you have signed up online for email or text message status updates, you should receive an email when your status changes to scheduled for interview. You will also receive a letter in the mail. Only the letter will state where and when. The email will not state where and when.

It seems that most interviews are scheduled out about a month in advance. So from the time the interview is scheduled and you receive the letter, you will have about a month before your actual interview date.

update on my case.

As I didnt get bio-metric letter, i had to go to infopass to explain my situation of not getting bio-metric notice.

Received bio-metric notice on Oct 15th and date for biometric was Oct 22nd.

Online status change to inline for interview on Oct 24th.

What was everyone's time between interview approval and updated status online for oath ceremony? Not the ceremony date itself, but how long after the interview did you hear from USCIS?

I had my interview on Oct 1. I brought with me every possible thing that i could imagine, original and photocopies. The supporting marriage documents were: marriage license, joint apartment lease, joint bank statements, joint health insurance and car insurance, a few photos, various joint utility bills. I brought all of that plus mine and hubbies passports, my GC, his divorce certificate from previous marriage, some documents required translations, so i brought those too. That was probably more then necessary, but I wanted to have absolutely everything on me, in case if they need anything. At the interview, I was only asked for GC and my passport, they did not check my hubbies passport or any of the supporting documents. I feel like it is always better to be prepared, because God forbid they will ask for something and then it only delays the process :/ Good Luck!!

My interview was on Oct 1st which i passed, but nothing changed online till Oct 13, thats when I got an email saying they put me in line for Oath. So the status changed to Oath Ceremony. Still waiting on the good news when they will actually schedule it

It took 10 days for me, from interview to oath scheduled. I wasn't even put in line for scheduling, they just notified me I had been scheduled. I got the letter a few days later.

Just wondering 'cus I leave to Brazil December 20th, and I'm trying to figure out timeline to get the passport done in order, depending how long it takes to schedule the oath I might have to ask them to schedule it for after I return in January. No agency here that I can get same day passport, so even if I expedite it will take a couple weeks, I assume.

My oath is almost a month after the interview, but each place is different. Did you ask them after the interview? Good luck!

How long will you be home? I haven't been there in 3 years!!

I asked if I'd be scheduled to take my oath in Memphis or Little Rock, and he said it depends on Little Rock having one soon, but that I might be scheduled for Memphis. He didn't give me a time frame, but I do know from the other member who got approved in Memphis that there's a ceremony on the 13th of November, wondering if they'd schedule me in time for that one.

I'll be home just for Christmas and New Years, 2 weeks. This time I'm going to my family's farm in Rondônia, haven't been there since 2009, but last time I was in Brazil was Christmas of 2011, as the whole family spent it at my brother's house in Teresópolis, RJ.
