. i just check my email, and found that USCIS send me case number , right in the beginning of my journey.

Just one more thing… when i will go to interview , what do you need to provide? do i need to bring that original case papers… because i can not find them any more, Or just interview letter they going to send me?

1. This is your life, why did you not keep your immigration papers in a safe place?

2. USCIS is very specific, and when it comes to interview you would be given instruction--nothing more, nothing less. "FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION."

3. I wish you best of luck... But this is not about luck, this is about how organize your papers are and how consistent your immigration papers are and you (and your spouse) reflected in that papers. Your papers should show who you are. it is like going for a job interview, in this day-and-age most job applicants fill out their applications and submit their resumes over the Internet; the employers then sort them out based on what the job required and how much they could afford to pay for it. It is always 50/50. Whey you are called for an interview, you just need that 1 point, the valuable 1 point to win the job, that is, 50 + 1 = 51; and so 51 versus 49--this is the principle.

but i can not find papers..

i mean all the papers… biometric appointment letter,

original form…that they receive my case, And i even don't have anymore case number...

Congratulation BrightandLight! That is amazing how past you got approve. 3 months ago you filed your N-400 and now your Naturalization is already approved. Which USCIS office did you send your application? And so I could tell my girlfriend to send her application there because she also petition me at the same time while my VISA is still good--my last option.

Just a note, After you take Oath, and You will need Passport rather quickly, I would strongly suggest to involve your senator, You will be asked the tracking number and have to complete Privacy form. I got my passport card on july 21 ( send the app on 14th), Than I needed passport to visit hamburg( applied for passport book on 15th this month and had my passport on 19th, thanks to my senator's aide.)

Suggestion: Everyone on VJ gets to turn red when they become US citizens... I think it's a nice tradition... why not keep "exception cases" in red, but just add an asterisk (*) at the end? Besides, what constitutes an exception case? Someone who goes to their interview and gets an RFE because they didn't send in the required information will have a long wait before their oath ceremony is scheduled... that would give the impression that their office is very slow in scheduling oaths... so would that be an exception case too?

Exception is only for quick approvals either due to being deployed in Military or getting help from Congressman/woman.

Ok, guys I passed the interview - but there was a small hitch. I'll put a full review up when I get home later.

OK, so here's how it went down:

I turned up at the federal building in St Louis about 20 mins prior to my interview. I slipped the appointment letter into the slot provided, and was called right on time.

From the second the lady IO swore me in, the whole experience was positive and pleasant. I instantly knew that I'd passed, which made the whole process a breeze. She smiled and said "I don't think you're going to have too much of a problem with this" as she asked me to read a sentence and write "California has a lot of people" on the piece of paper provided.

I was then asked the following six questions:

There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote - describe one of them.

If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

Who is in charge of the executive branch?

How old do citizens have to be to vote for president?

What is one reason colonists came to America?

Name two national US holidays.

She then went through the formality of asking me the questions on the N-400 form, actually apologizing for having to do so! And here's where the hitch occurred. Everybody familiar with the eternal speeding ticket debate? Well, I had one four years ago, and I mentioned as much on the N-400. I actually kept the ticket, along with proof of the defensive driving course they had me take as to avoid the offence ever appearing on my driving record. However, that was not enough, and she insisted that I needed something from the courthouse concerned stating that the matter had been dealt with. So many other people have said that their IO wasn't bothered about it but mine was. I explained that it was four years ago and it had never gone to court and as such, they probably didn't haven't any record of it. To her absolute credit, she altered her wording on the N-14 form (that's the one they give you when further documentation is required) stating that if there was no official record, that a letter stating as much on headed paper would suffice. As it goes, I went to the courthouse concerned, and incredibly, all she had to do was type in the four-year-old ticket number and hey presto, up it popped!! Keep all your speeding tickets, folks!!! I returned to the USCIS office with the required documentation the next day (today) and now it's just the a case of waiting for the oath ceremony.

Really was a an absolute breeze - a most pleasant experience. We were chatting about current affairs, movies etc by the end of it!

sorry if you get confuse about the questions, I got all 6 questions correct not 8.. I only remember 4 questions that had been asked that's why i told here that i did forgot the other 2 questions. I hope everything now is clear.
