Congratulations to those who had their interview! It's been basically a month since mine, still in line for oath. I leave to Brazil on December 20th and am wondering if I should call USCIS and ask ahead of time not to be scheduled until my return, or wait and see if there's still time ... although I have no access to a passport agency here in Arkansas, so I can only do the expedited request through the post office.

I think Memphis does it twice a month, but they said they might schedule me in Little Rock, and from what I understand they only do it here once or twice a year.

I don't think calling will help. If/when you get your Oath Scheduling letter, if the date conflicts or causes issues for your travel, just send a letter back responding that there is a conflict and they can reschedule your Oath. This will slow your process but will remove any issues with obtaining a passport quickly following Oath.

I think the closest Passport Agency to Little Rock is Hot Springs, that is only about a one hour drive it seems. Definitely better than Post Office expedited if you are in a real crunch on travel dates.

I am in Phoenix. I was inline for interview for just over 4 months before getting my interview notification. I called at about the 110 day mark and was told to wait another 6 months. Luckily it didn't take that long. Some of the offices are backed up... Phoenix is processing citizenship applications in 6-7 months.

I had my interview yesterday at the LIC office in Queens, NYC and passed it.

Got in at 8:02am and my appointment was for 8:25am but didn't get called until sometime after 9:30am.

The waiting room had a decent amount of people when I got in and I expected about a two hour wait.

The officer was no non-sense and she barely exchanged plesantries which was fine by me. I had the civics test where she asked me the questions, I answered and she wrote them down verbatim. I was under the impression that I will be the one who had to write the answers down. Not a big deal but was this the case for everyone? I read a simple question and wrote a simple sentence the officer dictated.

She went over my application, never asked for original documents or supporting evidence (I brought all the latest evidence that I submitted with the N400 application). She only asked about a trip I took with my family this past August and asked me multiple times (all separate) if I wanted to change my name as I have several names. The officer mentioned that my name was too long and may give problems with the certificate. I never had a problem with the other applications (I-481, I-765, N-400) until she made a comment. I told her that I want to keep my name as is to keep the uniformity & consistency of all my documents (didn't want the headache of changing it). She told me I was approved and if I'd like to wait 1.5 hours, I can get my Oath Letter. I chose to have it mailed which the officer said will take 7-10 days.

Now, just awaiting the Oath Letter. Does anyone know how long the oath ceremony is scheduled after the interview? I'm currently 7.5 months pregnant, due at the end of January but I think this baby might be coming earlier than that. Would hate to re-schedule the ceremony.

If you're "conditionally approved" for the global entry, does this mean you'll be approved at the interview if you present all the required documents? Or does CBP conditionally approve all applications that were correctly filled out and the grueling round is during the interview?

You should be fine if you present them the required documents at the interview.

How Does the Global Entry Program Work?

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Though intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program. Participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at select airports.

At airports, program participants proceed to Global Entry kiosks, present their machine-readable passport or U.S. permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and make a customs declaration. The kiosk issues the traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit.

Travelers must be pre-approved for the Global Entry program. All applicants undergo a rigorous background check and interview before enrollment.

While Global Entry's goal is to speed travelers through the process, members may be selected for further examination when entering the United States. Any violation of the program's terms and conditions will result in appropriate enforcement action and revocation of the traveler's membership privileges

Eligibility for Global Entry

Global Entry is open to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, Dutch citizens, South Korean citizens and Mexican nationals. Canadian citizens and residents may enjoy Global Entry benefits through membership in the NEXUS program.

Reasons for Ineligibility

Applicants may not qualify for participation in the Global Entry program if they:

• Provide false or incomplete information on the application;
• Have been convicted of any criminal offense or have pending criminal charges or outstanding warrants;
• Have been found in violation of any customs, immigration or agriculture regulations or laws in any country;
• Are subjects of an ongoing investigation by any federal, state or local law enforcement agency;
• Are inadmissible to the United States under immigration regulation, including applicants with approved waivers of inadmissibility or parole documentation;
• Cannot satisfy CBP of their low-risk status (e.g. CBP has intelligence that indicates that the applicant is not low risk; CBP cannot determine an applicant's criminal, residence or employment history)

Applicants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate in the program. If an individual does not meet the requirements of Global Entry, their application will be denied.

Applicants must be in possession of either a machine-readable passport or U.S. permanent resident card.

Application Fees

The $100 fee per applicant must be paid at the time of your Global Entry application. Applications must be completed and submitted online through the Global Online Enrollment System. Im really disapponited after my interview this morning because the officer told me he didnt find my application, lost somewhere.

He asked me all the copy of application such as N400, tax 3 yr, pp, id, green card, marriage certificate, photos 5*5 , it look like whole my package which sent to UScis before.

I passed civil test, then he gave me Form N-652 said that " A decision cannot yet be made about your application" :(

" USCIS will send you a written decion about application "

He said " no more test" , i have to wait ....blah...blah...

Sighhh..... Now i dont know how long to wait ? And what is it going on ? Anyone know about that problem ?

My appointment was at 1:40. I got there at 1:30 and the room was in had about 100 people waiting. Waited about 2 hours was finally called in at 3:30. The officer was professional but made very little eye contact and doesn't seem open. He took me to his office and swore me in.

We started with the english test and asked me to read

"When is Columbus day?"

and to write Columbus day is on October.

Afterwards we went straight to the civics test he asked me the following questions:

There are four amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.

What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment?

Who is in charge of the executive branch?

During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the United States?

What is one reason colonists came to America?

If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

Afterwards he went straight to the application questions. Then he printed out a paper that he's recommending me for approval. He escorted me out and the whole thing lasted around 20 minutes.

Side notes:

-i had 20 corrections on my application because i filled my application via the pdf and missed filling in the A number on the top right corner of each page of the application. So as he was asking me the questions he's filling it in.

- I brought in all the paper work that the yellow letter asked for and he didn't ask for any of it.

-At the end as he was about to escort me out, he asked me if i signed up for selective service i told him no and asked the reason behind it and asked me how old i was when i got the green card. I told him that i was 27 already when i received my green card. I told him i have the selective service letter and gave it to him. afterwards he escorted me out and said that they will send me a notice about my oath within 120 days.

I hope this helps as this always helped me reading about it before hand from other applicants.

-i had 20 corrections on my application because i filled my application via the pdf and missed filling in the A number on the top right corner of each page of the application. So as he was asking me the questions he's filling it in.

- I brought in all the paper work that the yellow letter asked for and he didn't ask for any of it.

-At the end as he was about to escort me out, he asked me if i signed up for selective service i told him no and asked the reason behind it and asked me how old i was when i got the green card. I told him that i was 27 already when i received my green card. I told him i have the selective service letter and gave it to him. afterwards he escorted me out and said that they will send me a notice about my oath within 120 days.

I hope this helps as this always helped me reading about it before hand from other applicants.

Hi all,

Im really disapponited after my interview this morning because the officer told me he didnt find my application, lost somewhere.

He asked me all the copy of application such as N400, tax 3 yr, pp, id, green card, marriage certificate, photos 5*5 , it look like whole my package which sent to UScis before.

I passed civil test, then he gave me Form N-652 said that " A decision cannot yet be made about your application" :(

" USCIS will send you a written decion about application "

He said " no more test" , i have to wait ....blah...blah...

Sighhh..... Now i dont know how long to wait ? And what is it going on ? Anyone know about that problem ?
