What is the average timeline for obtaining a K-1 Fiancé visa from the Russian consulate in Moscow? The documents are being processed at the Texas Service Center.

9 months sounds about right, but it depends on how long the Texas service center takes to process your papers and send to Moscow// they did not assign us an interview date, they gave us a 4 month time frame and we choose our interview date in Moscow..

I can tell you that Moscow does not wait for you to pick an interview date. They assign one to you.

This is wrong. You go online and pick any interview date you like. Russia is one of the fastest consulates around. No need to wait for packet 3 / packet 4. Once they have the packet, just go online and schedule interview.

The longest part of the process will be waiting for TSC. Once you get NOA2, you can be done in less than 2 months after that.

That also might depend on how you will prepare your petition. If NOA2 will follow NOA1 it's good, but if you will get an RFE, it can delay process for at least few weeks. There also could be some delays around interview time, I've heard that if during medical exam doctor will not like x-rays (tuberculosis check), beneficiary can be sent to additional laboratory test and results can delay issuing visa for several weeks. It's all not very likely, but still happens with some people.You know, average processing time is like average patients temperature in the hospital. Processing time also can fluctuate in service centers. When we were sending petition to CSC, many people would get NOA2 within couple of months after NOA1, but soon CSC fell asleep and we were waiting for our NOA2 with others for 6 months. I was getting ready for interview around Sep-Oct 2011, didn't happen until Feb 2012. If you're asking just to have at least some timeframe in minds, it's fine, but don't rely on it, it can change in both ways any moment.
