Hello - I have a question. Can the Biometric appointment and the and actual visa Interview be scheduled in 2 different cities, 2 different consulates within the same country. I will be traveling and scheduling it this way will be ideal? Anyone experience this?

The short answer is of course. Now the long answer. :)

The appointment for biometric (fingerprinting and picture) is done at the US Travel Docs website, here:

Bio metrics are not done at US consulates. They are done at Visa Application Centers: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-loc-ofc.asp

There are 5 locations in India: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-loc-ofc.asp#locations

You canmake an appointment at any one of them. They send the fingerprinting and pictures digitally to the consulate. You need a copy of the DS260-confirmation page and also a copy of the interview letter for this appointment.

We were originally going to do that, we live in Bangalore and there are no VAC centers or consualtes here. We have to travel to Chennai or Mumbai for the VAC and medicals and then interview in Mumbai.

So yes it does happen because I am sure there are lots of people who live in Bangalore like us who don't have an option but to travel!
