June 2014 AOS filers

According to USPS our package was delivered early yesterday. I know I shouldn't get impatient already - but I am... blah!

The more I'm thinking about our package the more nervous I get about any mistakes we may have done - even though I double checked everything. Sigh.

Anyone feeling the same way?

Absolutely. I try not to think about it too much, since it's out of my hands now. I've been trying to occupy myself by going to the gym, sewing, spending time with my husband...oh and of course, applying for jobs.

My husband and I did a couple of mistakes during I-129F and K-1 visa application process (we rechecked many times and still we did mistake). We never got RFE and got approved for K-1 visa. That's how I am seeing now my AoS package. If I did mistake they will send RFE - it is not the end of the world ). I was quite nervous but hey who does not especially if referring to government's rules?

I went ton the biometrics today. I took with me the letter of appt., my passport and my marrriege license. Turns out that they wanted my name in my passport changed to the married name, even with my marrriege certificate showing my old and my new name, they made me wait a long time, and put on their sistem my old name, I asked many times if it was going to be a problem, they said no, but I I'm worried, looks like they don't know what to do

I never heard a problem like that before. We can't just changed name into new name on the passport before it's expired or we lost it.

Woke up today with an email from the USCIS with a notification about a RFE. Glad to see someone working on the petition though. Probably for the medical, only submitted the DS-3025 along with the entire medical from overseas. Perhaps that just was not good enough for the USCIS officer.

Must be something else, our medicals are valid for a year.

I draw my conclusion from reviewing my package, everything else should be in order. I-693 is the only missing piece. I could see the RFE telling me to go and see a doctor only to have the oversea medical transcribed to the I-693 but not a complete medical.

I could also be wrong, time will tell.

Scheduled on July 23, 1pm, at Jacksonville Florida.

5 to 6 hours drive just to go there. ahehehe

But its ok haha I cant complain.

Hi Guys,

I am joining this forum late. I filed my husbands AOS on June 09th our NOA 1 has a date of June 11th, 2014. We received his biometrics letter a few days later his appointment is scheduled for Monday 7th July, 2014. We tried to do a walk-in at Forth Worth ASC and it was unsuccessful they will not process you until your actual appointment date. I am not able to check our case status online it says case status not found. So I am just going through the motions I cannot wait for this to be over! We live 2 hours away from Froth Worth so we will have to drive all the way back on Monday.

Totally. Within 2 weeks you should get your NOA 1 and another week or so biometrics appointment letter. I am in forest hill too. Hello neighbour ;-)
